I am younger than I feel and older than I feel I should be. I am more often laughing than I am serious. I enjoy randomness and I suffer from even more random bouts of OCD. I love stillness but dislike quietness. I love with all my heart and can grow more angry than I would like. My life passes too quickly but my days often seem too long. I procrastinate more often than I forget and I plan to do better tomorrow. I love to cook but hate to wash dishes. I adore clothes but dislike washing laundry. I daydream often but dream rarely. I adore old things but dread my first wrinkles. I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, sister and friend. I am many things and many of them all at the same time.
I have been married to my husband Joel for 11 years and I am the mother of two beautiful daughters, Hayley age 10 and Jena age 8. I live in a lovely little home with my family, three pampered cats and one sometimes neglected fish.
I love to paint, even though I don't get to as often as I would like. I can't live without music, caffeine or laughter. I've been told, more than once, "I love your Halloween costume" even though they were just my clothes. I have a strange sense of humor, and it gets me into trouble sometimes. (Don't take a lot of what I say literally, much of the time; it's a joke.) I think frogs are the cutest things ever and if I could be any animal I'd be my overfed house cat.
In my 9 to 5 (ha, 9 to 5...I wish! Try 8 to 10!) I am a graphic designer for a newspaper. It is the nature of the newspaper industry that my life revolves around deadlines, and lots of them. So I'm stressed far too often for my taste. If I had my way I'd make my living as a freelance digital artist or a novelist. (Or both!!) If you'd like to see any of my digital work please visit my DA account linked below. (It's a big banner...can't miss it.) And while I do have a few novels in progress they have been almost abandoned in the hectic daily grind of kids, work, cooking, housecleaning, laundry...*sigh*. But maybe someday I'll finish them or maybe get published. *crosses fingers*
As I'm sure you can tell if you've had a look at my interests <<< I'm a huge geek. That said, I'm certainly not one of the "cool" myspace kids. My interests generally fall into a few categories: history, literature, computers, movies, music, and satire. :) I do not:
A. Think that Paris Hilton is anything special
B. Ditto for Nicole Richie, Lindsey Lohan, etc.
C. Care about Brittney Spears' life (at all)
D. Think that any celebrity's opinion matters more than anyone else's
E. Care how many children Angelina Jolie; adopts, breeds, steals, whatever
F. Read any book, buy any brand of bedsheets, etc. because Oprah said to. (Why do people listen to that woman? She's not Ghandi...)
In short, if the extent of your knowledge of the world at large does not extend beyond the boundaries of yourself and the latest issue of People magazine, you probably will not like me so much. Best move on. I hear that Paris Hilton does have a myspace page, you might want to try her.

So...let's see...

About My Work
If you wish to repost or use any of my work you may do so without prior permission as long as you follow a few simple requests:
1. Please do not sell my work. (Its the least I can ask)
2. Credit is obviously appreciated.
3. My images may be used to create layouts, brushes, tubes, etc. as long as credit is given.
4. If in doubt, ask.
Please Note: I do this because I once got more mail than Santa Claus concerning the use of my pics. I long ago decided that even if I said "no" people would, more often than not, end up doing whatever they please any way...
While turning perfectly good pics into eyesores of herculean proportions with flashing glittery crap isn't exactly my thing, to each their own...
