| About Electric Cinema Film Orchestra |
Soundtrack composer and the owner of The Electric Birmingham, Tom Lawes is the inspiration and leader of this 8 piece band.
The Electric Cinema Film Orchestra have been playing together for over a year and have built up somewhat of a reputation for one of the most unique live acts in the country. Its believed that this motley crew are the only people doing what they do.
The 8 piece which includes full brass/woodwind section, keys, drums, bass, rhythm and lead guitar, plus fabulous vocals recreate the songs of some of the greatest masters of Popular music; including Johnny Cash, The Doors, Pink Floyd and Ray Charles to name but a few.
But the really interesting bit about it and that, which sets them apart from any other act today is their live performances, which are played in sync with specially edited film footage.
The specially cut footage from films such as Apocalypse Now, Walk The Line, The Wall, Pulp Fiction and The Blues Brothers create the most amazing audio visual experience.
So if you're bored of going to gigs with the same old stagnant stage presence, then don't miss out on the opportunity of seeing these 'must be seen to be believed' live shows by 'The Electric Cinema Film Orchestra.'
