This grand opening of MEA'S located in the historic Markle Building ,8 West Broad Street Hazleton will feature live jazz entertainment,cash bar,complementary beverage & hors d'oeuvres. Seating is limited. RSVP 501-3410 $5.00 donation benefits RELAY FOR LIFE. Take a walk on the mezzanine.




Artist Kathy Dobash will display her art and have tickets available to win an original relief sculpture,valued at $1200, to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

2008 NEPA Miners Entertainment Team Tryouts
The NEPA Miner’s Entertainment Team will be holding tryouts for the 2008 season squad on Saturday, January 26th at the Mall at Steamtown in Scranton, PA. This is your chance to perform in front of thousands of fans and represent the Miners at community events throughout the year! Requirements: All candidates must be 18 years of age by May 1, 2008 and must be a high school graduate or have a G.E.D. or be a graduate of the 2008 class. Please provide a driver's license or birth certificate as proof of age. Judging will be based on talent, personality, appearance, professionalism and spirit.
DATES/TIMES:
Auditions are on Saturday, January 26th at the Mall at Steamtown in the Center Court area.
Check-in will be held between 9:30AM - 10:00AM
Material will be taught from 10:00AM -12:00PM.
Tryouts will begin at 1:00PM.
Tryouts are open to the public.
ELIGIBILITY:
You must be 18 years or older by May 1, 2008. Please bring a driver's license or birth certificate with you to the auditions. You must be able to attend all home games, practice 2 days a week in season (June - August) and 1 day a week during the pre-season (March - May). Participants may not cheer for another professional or collegiate team concurrently.
ATTIRE:
Sports bra and fitted shorts of your choice. Apparel should be flattering to your body type with emphasis on an appearance that will highlight your try-out. Appropriate footwear (dance sneakers, jazz shoes or sneakers) Need to arrive with full hair & makeup
PREPARATION:
• Submit a completed application
• All material will be taught at auditions.
• There is a $25.00 application-processing fee. Please make checks payable to: NEPA Miners
• Walk-ins at door will be charged $30.00 CASH application processing fee.
JUDGES:
Judging will be based on physical talent, dance ability, personality, appearance and poise.

"Harmony Constant" will be performing Live @ Northern Light Espresso Bar on Spruce St in Downtown Scranton on Friday, Feb 1st from 7-9pm. Come in out of the cold and enjoy a hot drink while we perform some of our well known hits as well as premier some new tunes. Come say "Hi" after the show. Hope to see everyone there:)
