Electric Elephant Sets Sail Again - Aug 28th - 30th
Following the success of last years inaugural event, Electric Elephant‚ brought to you by the team behind Manchester's legendary Electric Chair club‚ returns to the the gorgeous Croatian coastal village of Petrcane.
There will be no physical tickets sent out in the post. You will simply bring your ticket confirmation with you to the festival site where you will be able to obtain your wristband(s) for the relevant boat party that you are attending from the Wristband/Info Desk at the entrance to the site
In 2008, we gathered some of the finest international DJ's and live artists to help launch Electric Elephant.
This summer we return to the wonderful Petrcane in Croatia as Electric Elephant 2009 sets sail from Aug 28th to 30th.
Electric Elephant is a wonderful mix of musicalness. Balaeric, spaced out beach parties, blissed out acoustic-folk, psychedelia on the moonlit stage , onto the club and outside to the terrace for late night futuristic jackin’ under the stars. Oh, and there's a big old boat. A magical ship that sails everyday partying into the twilight. Cosmic, spiritual, happy journeys across the sea.
Petrcane is a beautiful little fishing village 900 years old with good, kind people and beautiful rustic restaurants… fresh fish caught that day… fruit and wine...and olive oil fresh from the local olive groves. There is camping in the woods, old cottages and villas on the sea front, sailing boats you can charter and explore the mystical islands; National Parks, waterfalls, mountains all a short drive away.
Its somewhere you can bring the kids and relax, or party with soul mates old and new.
This is a beautiful place. It’s enchanting. You’ll fall in love...

Trains
For the more adventurous, just a quick note to say that the following website can be used in order to plan and book trains from UK to just about anywhere in Europe.
You can train from any part of Europe to Zagreb, which is only an hour or so away from the festival. Not only is this option better for the environment, it might actually work out cheaper and is definitely one for those wanting an adventure to kick of their holidays...
The site breaks down which trains to which cities you'll need to get and how much they are. It also covers hotels, hostels and other important bits of info you'll need on the way.
Bus from Zagreb to Zadar...
There is a coach that runs from Zagreb to Zadar. It runs around 20 times a day and takes you on a lovely mountain drive to Zadar.... this is definately no Watford Gap or M1 long-hawl. Beautiful scenery on this 4 hour drive. Prices are around 15EUR . For more information check out the following:

And here's a photo of the drive through the beautiful mountains...
Hotels
Petrcane is well stocked with accommodation. Check Hotel Pinija if your after a three star hotel vibe with indoor pool etc. There’s a huge stock of apartments and villas that can be booked for the week or weekend as well as cheaper hotels for as little as 10 Euros a night. The village also has camping facilities for up to 160 tents so the choice is yours.
Hotel Pinija provides entertainment for kids during the day and has an awesome indoor swimming pool as well as tennis courts, crazy golf and volleyball courts.
The festival site itself will accommodate kids and has a small adventure playground.
Fancy sailing your own vessel? then you may want to consider chartering a boat. It can be anchored in Petrcane bay and you can swim to the festival shores!!..... We recommend Feral Tours and after the festival you can then continue your holiday sailing around the thousands islands along the Dalmatian coast.
