..
I like about five gazillion million things all at once, so really narrowing it down past an obsession over a musician seems kind of unreal.
I like to consider some of my interests as "the holy trinity", like the three fundamental basics: Film Noir, Comic Books and Vinyl Record Collecting. Sometimes the subjects change upon mood and the positionining of the stars...
But, vaguely speaking, I like to fancy myself a writer on my good days, writing things that not very many people get to see/hear, but get written nonetheless.
I'm also an amateur photographer, always out taking pictures of poor, underpaid aspiring models wearing ridiculous things i make them put on for my own cruel amusement.
I like to read Dorothy Parker when I'm alone because her stuff sounds a million percent better read aloud, and people aren't too keen on hearing me read her snarkiness aloud in public. I can also quote some of her better stuff on command.
I like to eat gummi bears, more importantly the Haribo variety, despite what everyone says about gelatin coming from embryos. They're still delicious and taste like pineapples, so the whole disturbing images are kind of bypassed.
I like to watch movies and listen to music, I'm a bit of a snob in those areas, so please don't take it offensively if I start bashing whatever films/bands you happen to adore. It's just this thing I do. Like I said, I'm a snob sometimes.
Hang out with me long enough, and you'll develop some of my interests without even realizing it.
Indie Rock/Alternative, New Wave, Electro Indie, Art Rock, Heavy Metal, New Romanticism, Shoegaze, Synth Pop etc .

Movies
I'm big into Jim Jarmusch films (Down By Law, Coffee and Cigarettes, Broken Flowers), movies about comic books (Ghost World, Art School Confidential, American Splendor), Woody Allen films (Manhatten, Annie Hall, Scoop), old horror films like Suspiria and Night of the Living Dead. I love film noir and films like Buffalo '66, Naked Lunch, Orphee, Drugstore Cowboy, Brazil, Valley Girl, Touch of Evil, The Apartment, Delicatessen, 8 1/2, Blue Velvet, Pink Flamingos, Blow Up, and Band of Outsiders.
Television
I'm into the old stuff, That Girl with Marlo Thomas, The Partridge Family, Bewitched, The Brady Bunch...and I'm madly in love with The Gilmore Girls solely for the insanely witty dialogue. And I just bought Flight of the Conchords. Woohoo for Jermaine Clement!
And once in awhile I sneak in an episode of America's Next Top Model so I can claim that I'm not lost to all pop culture.
You will probably like me. But for your own sake, don't fall in love with me. I'm crazy, this is your final warning.
I'm like one of those movies that are hidden in the back of the rental place, the ones that nobody ever hears about, but turn out to be the quirkiest, funniest, all around awesomest movies ever.
Well, i have the impression that i'm not so unique and melancholy and that everyone feels like this when they're twenty. I'm a snuggly romantic dork, I go into long strings of research on Wikipedia and google in my spare time, and my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are world-famous.
I have an obsession with the obsolete and retro, like old architecture, antique cars, '50s kitsch, old photography, etc.... I also reading lots of books, dive bars, good ole music on vinyl records, second hand stores, gardening, hiking, bike rides and my cat. It's also been an awful long time since I have been anywhere and would enjoy traveling again.
I don't say a whole lot and spend more time listening to others. I am an artist at heart, but dabble in other things. I stand out in many ways yet hide in the crowd. I am different, and in a good way.
I drastically change my appearance at least twice a year, for whatever reason. I guess I like to be a lady of many disguises.
My life consists of paint splatters on my high fashion dresses, epilepsy dancing at concerts, riding my beach cruiser on the streets at 3am and ignoring the sting in my fingers, drawing unexpected victims across the room, transmitting my voice across airwaves, painting on things that need not be painted on (or so other people say), striking up conversations with wrong numbers, wearing mismatched socks. I have a mix for every occasion, I probably love you more deeply than you've ever been loved, I'll draw a picture of you if you ask nicely, I have stacks of vinyl but I've never bothered to count them, I jingle when I walk, I leave secret messages in misty breath on windows, I survive off of a caffeine addiction, and records.
I have a pervasive sense of humor which tends to be sarcastic and crass. I tend to make fun of any given situation, mostly in my head and/or quietly to someone next to me. I'm certainly not someone who craves attention. I'd say very little is off limits in terms of what's funny; one can find humor in anything. I love delayed thinkers, terrible word play, horrible puns, and adjectivey nouns. I love making jokes that are so deeply layered I often end up being the only person who completely got what I said.
I'm also seeming to develop a slight coffee addiction brought on by necessity due to a lack of sleep and propensity to get really sleepy when I read. I don't see how the two could possibly be related. I also feel a writing bent forming. Every time I have my nose in a book, I've got a pad and pen next to me. I've noticed that I tend to mimic the style of whatever author I'm reading, so I'm already a hack.
I'm a little anxious and have a tendency to over-think things. I'm great at digging myself into a verbal hole.
I feel like I have a reservoir of creativity and passion that I've not yet learned how to tap into.
