  • Dick Valentine writes soundtrack to new webseries

    D
We are very happy to announce that Dick Valentine (in conjunction with Will Bates of Fall On Your Sword, who also happens to be Dick's partner in Evil Cowards) has written original material, 5 songs in all, which feature as the soundtrack to a brand new original webseries produced by Machinima.com. The series is entitled "Bite Me" (though the E6 song of that name does not feature) and the synopsis is as follows:

"Three gamers find themselves in the midst of a real life zombie outbreak. Relying only on the knowledge and skills they have accrued over years of gaming, these guys will have to drop the controller and pick up anything that they can use as a weapon. If they can survive, these unlikely heroes may just be humanity's best hope of surviving the undead uprising.

This group of unlikely heroes is made up of Jeff, Mike and Greg who by day are a waiter, cubicle jockey and street sign spinner respectively. They’re life long friends who are coming to a fork in the road. Embrace adulthood and turn off the video games or say screw it and play on. As luck would have it, those video games are about to save their lives and quite possible the world as a whole.

It’s now up to these video game experts, to defend the world against the zombie apocalypse, by any means possible."

  • Seattle, Portland, Boise, Salt Lake City, Denver and Kansas City shows rescheduled

We regret to inform our fans in the cities listed above that the upcoming Electric Six show in your town has been canceled due to a family emergency within the band.  However, the good news is that we are rescheduling all of those shows for late March 2011 as we speak...details should be forthcoming on those new dates and (in some cases) venues over the next few days.  Should you have questions about advance purchase tickets, etc. please contact the venue in question.

Please note that ALL OTHER SHOWS (St.Louis, Des Moines, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Covington, and Cleveland) will still take place.

Again, we apologize profusely to anyone inconvenienced by this, but it is simply unavoidable.  You mean a lot to us and we hope that all of you who planned on attending will be able to join us in the spring.  We thank you for your understanding.
  • E6 Tour starts tonight

Electric Six begins the "Rent Is Too Damn High" tour tonight in Grand Rapids.  We also wanted to make you aware of a couple of tour-only items we'll have out with us for sale on the US shows.  The first is a vinyl edition of the new album "Zodiac." This features white 180 gram vinyl with unique cover art and a digital download card.  We'll also have a 7", which features album track "Jam It In The Hole" on the Aside and non-album cut "I Can Translate" on the Bside.

So, c'mon out and see us over the next several weeks!
  • Dick Valentine Solo Acoustic Shows in July -- Pittsburgh, Huntington and D.C.

Dick Valentine is reminding you that he is bringing his American Troubador solo acoustic show to three American cities in one long weekend in July. The mini-tour is as follows:

-- Friday, July 23 at Club Cafe in Pittsburgh, PA
-- Saturday, July 24 at V Club in Huntington, WV
-- Sunday, July 25 at the Backstage bar at the Black Cat in Washington, D.C.

The American Troubador show features Dick Valentine underneath the spotlight nervously clutching and manipulating an acoustic guitar. He spends over an hour of your time playing your favorite Electric Six songs as well as random cover songs. The show is loose and informal and often results in Valentine unable to keep it together when he's away from his handlers and controlled environment. He often falls apart and sobs....alone....on stage. You really need to see it.

So come on out if you live in or near any of these cities. The true E6 fan needs to see the music of Electric Six broken down to its purest form. Good hot summertime acoustic fun awaits. The drink of choice at an American Troubador show is the white wine spritzer.
