ELECTRIC SWAN is a solo project from WICKED MINDS guitarist and founding member,LUCIO CALEGARI(1964). On the road from 1987,starting as a thrash group and evolving in a '70 power trio,Wicked Minds in 2000 meet the organist Paolo "Apollo" Negri and the music became more progressive.In 2004 the singer JC Cinel joins the band that sign a deal with Black Widow records for "From the purple skies" (cd/2lp) and 2006"Witchflower"(cd-dvd/2lp).In 2007 "live at burg herzbergh festival" cd/2lp for Inakustik records(germany) and a free jam project called "Orange shading starlight" Lp only for W records.During the years WM play with UFO,Uli Jon Roth,Monster Magnet,Siena Root,Colour Haze,Osanna,Delirium and many more. www.wickedminds.net
ELECTRIC SWAN was recorded in January/May 2008 at Mofo studio (Piacenza-Italy) by my old friend MARCO GANDOLFI that produces the work for BAD CHILI RECORDS,a young indie label at its third release,distribuited worldwide from Black Widow records.It's a collection of new songs(some instrumental),2 ten years-old wicked minds tracks never recorded before, and 3 covers:Tommy Bolin's "Teaser",Ruth Copeland's"Your love been so good to me" and Hetfield-Ulrich-Hammett-Burton's surprise. In this records I'm trying to paint the feelings and the dreams when I play guitar with a little help from my friends: Paolo "Apollo" Negri on Hammond and synths,Ricky Lovotti on drums,Enrico"Deep" Garilli and Edoardo Giovanelli on bass on some tracks and the wonderful voices from Sophya Baccini (Presence) and Luca "Mitch" Rancati(Tough).
