The History of Electrobronze

Having spent most of his formative years writing and recording his own electronic music ,musician and songwriter Gareth Scott moved to Derry City in the North West of Northern Ireland from his native Belfast in the late 1990's. There he met an experienced singer and seasoned veteran Tony McBride (originally from Leeds,Yorkshire,England) through their workplace on the Strand Road. Initially hooking up to do a live session for BBC Radio Foyle , they recruited Sinead Harkin , a local singer to accompany Tony on vocal duties.
The trio recorded several demo sessions in the Blast Furnace recording studios before venturing out to play some live gigs as well as recording cover songs for the Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark tribute CD's series "We Love You". Involvement in this project led to Gareth being invited over to Liverpool to meet Martin Cooper from OMD and spend a day with a synthpop legend.
In 2007 , Steve Bronski from British electropop trio Bronski Beat recorded remixes of the track "Flowers in the morning" for his remix website (www.myspace.com/remixcollective)
Tony has performed live as a solo singer many times including an appearence on the BBC Northern Ireland programme "The John Daly Show" , and performs classic big band covers live as Tony Vegas with his one man show.2007 also saw Tony star on TV's "The X Factor" and got through to bootcamp , only to be defeated at the final stage before the live TV finals.
Gareth earned excellant reviews from the judges at Future Music magazine in 2005 with his remixing talents , mixing Front 242s "Headhunter" , and remixes all the tracks on the sister myspace site (www.myspace.com/electrobronzeremix) as well as handling all the recording and songwriting duties.
Sinead is currently missing in action...........we know she is living in Derry City somewhere, and it is a matter of time before we get her back into the recording studio in 2009 to do some more vocal harmonising to Mr McBrides warbling and Mr Scott's tinkling on the electro-ivories.
New tracks are currently being recorded and will air in Spring/summer of 2009. Tony has been DJ'ing and organising social parties for various business's and private functions , while Gareth has been getting some practice in with the DJ'ing and writing and recording new music for electrobronze live events in 2009.
Electrobronze WILL finally play live in 2009....... A Nation Waits ........

It's an epic instrumental opus to the moment when our ancient Dino relatives saw a large fiery object plummeting towards them.
