I am writing this message to ask for your assistance and participation in the next generation of anti-prohibition...one which will hopefully bring all facets of the cannabis/hemp re-legalization issues into a single cohesive unit.
Let's face the facts. People have been fighting for restoration of cannabis to use by responsible adults for decades, and we haven't come close to getting the job done yet. Why is this? Could it just be that of all the hundreds of groups out there, everyone might only be looking at their own specific point of interests and ignoring the fact that they ARE a part of the movement as a whole?
I have decided to try to merge all individual groups into a more cohesive force, where ALL of the most important information is collected into a central reservoir so that all of the individual groups out there who think they're winning (but aren't) can get a more complete perspective on the other facets of legalization that they just haven't thought of yet...or thought that didn't matter to them.
When all of the groups and sub-groups finally get it through their heads that we're ALL trying to get the same job done, perhaps that will be the catalyst we need to actually win this fight once and for all?
Please forward this message to anyone and everyone that you think will be a valuable addition to the movement. Post to your BLOG, or add it to a bulletin. We need honest, informed, responsible and intelligent people to look at every aspect of legalization, make their opinions known, and take appropriate action to see that this time, the job gets done!
We do NOT want people who do not take the idea seriously, or who can't compose complete sentences! If your entire philosophy about cannabis is "Shit, man...it's awesome!" we do NOT want you, as you will only serve to bring the wrong impression to the table, and degrade the image of those who DO actually understand what is really at stake!
Do the math: Cannabis = Hemp = Food = Fuel = Fiber = Medicine = Paper = MORE & MORE!

Aimee Allen - A Message to THINKING PEOPLE!

(May 15, 1950 - March 8th, 2007)
Shown above playing soprano sax during his first gig in The Stampeders, April 30th '76.
Dave "stopped playing" March 8th, 2007, as a complication of treatment for multiple myeloma, a particularly devastating form of cancer that he had previously beaten back twice. While in remission, the drugs that were employed to keep the cancer at bay had serious side effects.
Essentially, he died of congestive heart failure brought on by pulmonary hypertension, which is thought to have been caused by the cancer treatment drugs he had been prescribed. That having been said, those who knew him best and were by his side at the very moment assure that he went peacefully and quickly, with people he cared for by his side...which was one of the most important things to him over the last few years.
For those who knew him, Dave was a good guy with massive musical abilities spanning the entire range of the industry--there was almost nothing music-related that Dave couldn't do--and what little there was, he knew who could!
He had a "somewhat twisted sense of humour" at times (in a good way, of course!) and will be missed by his friends, family, and most of all by EQ. (Those who knew him will understand. ;)

One of the best animated series ever produced. High quality computer graphics as well as high quality "standard" cel animation techniques, fused into a picture that was only eclipsed by it's deft writing and perfect voice casting.
Why they kept "The Simpsons" on the air and killed this one is completely beyond me...FAR better show, far better series, far better writing, many more potential plotlines to explore, and an open door for just about anything to happen in the future. This series had it all, and was killed after just 4 seasons, all of which have been released on DVD, and are still selling today.
