Deutsch: Bevor der Live-Act ElectroSmog im September 2007 entstand, machten die beiden Mitglieder Miriam Richert und Mark Strobel zunächst Solo Musik. Miriam alias Shezophren ist 1983 in Tuttlingen geboren. Schon immer war Musik ein wichtiger Bestandteil ihres Lebens und bereits in jungen Jahren begann sie sich für elektronische Musik zu interessieren. Als sie im Alter von 15 Jahren das erste Mal einen Techno-Club betrat, war sie von der Musik, den Deejays und der Atmosphäre beeindruckt und beschloss mit dem Auflegen anzufangen. Sie kaufte sich gebrauchte Turntables, Mixer und die ersten Platten. Obwohl sie anfangs auch Trance hörte, fühlte sie sich immer mehr von härteren Klängen angezogen und war beeindruckt von Acts wie DJ Rush . Schon bald veranstaltete sie zusammen mit ihrem Bruder kleinere Partys und Partyreihen (Z.B. Alien Mission…) in verschiedenen Locations und legte dort auf. Außerdem ergaben sich einzelne Auftritte in verschiedenen Clubs sowie eine Residency auf dem zweiten Floor (Container Druckkammer) im wiedereröffneten Abby in Meßkirch. Dort legte sie jeden Monat mit ihrem Bruder und Freunden auf. In ihrer musikalischen Entwicklung wurde sie mittlerweile auch von Acts wie Michael Forshaw, Subhead, dem Miditonal Sound und diversen Hardtechno- Künstlern geprägt. Ihr Sound war stets außergewöhnlich, abwechslungsreich und wurde immer schneller und härter. Zwischenzeitlich lernte sie Mark kennen und begann zu produzieren. Mark hingegen, 1980 in Donaueschingen geboren, produzierte bis dahin unter dem Pseudonym Schädeltrauma und performte Live- Acts auf verschiedenen selbst bzw. mit Freunden organisierten Partys. Sein Sound wurde geprägt von Clubs wie dem Douala in Ravensburg oder dem Prag in Stuttgart sowie dem Parkhaus in Kenzingen, außerdem von Künstlern wie Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Subhead und Hardtechno Deejays wie DJ Amok usw. Mit der Zeit entwickelte er selbst immer härtere Klänge und erreichte schließlich einen kompromisslosen Sound. Die Mischung aus beiden Sounds zeichnet den schnellen, harten, freaky und zum Teil witzigen Sound von ElectroSmog aus. Im Sommer 2007 machte das Duo zum ersten Mal zusammen einen Live-Act im Soho und das gemeinsame Projekt ElectroSmog war entstanden. Was anfangs nur ein Versuch war bekam extrem viel positives Feedback und wurde somit ein fester Bestandteil des SOHO Line-Ups. ElectroSMOG spielten seitdem vor einigen namhaften Deejays/Liveacts der Hardtechnoszene wie DJ Amok, Frank Kvitta, Brachiale Musikgestalter, Felix Kröcher und Robert Natus etc.! Der erste veröffentlichte Track ist der ElectroSmog Remix auf der Surface EP von S.K.A.T.I!! English: Before the Live-Act ElectroSmog originated in September, 2007, both members Miriam Richert and Mark Strobel did solo music. Miriam alias “Shezophren” is born in 1983 in Tuttlingen. Music was always an important component of her life and already during young years she started to be interested in electronic music. When she entered a Techno club the first time at the age of 15 years, she was impressed by the music, the deejays and the atmosphere and decided to start with mixing. She bought used turntables, a mixer and the first records to herself. Although she heard in the beginning also trance, she felt more and more of harder sounds drawn and was impressed by acts like DJ Rush. Soon she organised together with her brother smaller parties and party rows (E.G. Alien mission …) in different locations and performed there. In addition, single gigs arose in different clubs as well as a residency on the second floor (container pressure chamber) in the reopened “Abby” in Meßkirch. There she performed every month with her brother and friends. In her musical development she was stamped meanwhile also by acts like Michael Forshaw, Subhead, by the Miditonal sound and various Hardtechno artists. Her sound was always unusual, diverse and became quicker and quicker and harder. In the meantime she got to know Mark and started to produce. Mark, however, in 1980 in Donaueschingen born, produced till then under the pseudonym “Schädeltrauma” and performed live-acts on different parties organised by himself respectively together with friends. His sound was stamped by clubs like the “Douala” in Ravensburg or “Prag” in Stuttgart as well as the “Parkhaus” in Kenzingen and in addition by artists like Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, Subhead and Hardtechno deejays like DJ Amok etc. With the time he developed even harder and harder sounds and reached, in the end, an uncompromising sound. The mixture of both sounds distinguishes the quick, freaky and partly funny sound of ElectroSmog. In summer 2007 the duo did for the first time together a live-act in the club “Soho” and the common project ElectroSmog had originated. What in the beginning only was an experiment, much positive feedback agreed extremely and became therefore a steady component of the Soho line-up. ElectroSmog played since then before some famous deejays/ liveacts of the hardtechno-scene like DJ Amok, Frank Kvitta, Brachiale Musikgestalter, Felix Kröcher and Robert Natus etc!
