from the warehouses to the dancefloor...
SATURDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER
@ THE RHYTHM FACTORY, WHITECHAPEL
10PM - 6AM
After running warehouse parties all over East London for the last 2 years, electrotek launches a new regular event at The Rhythm Factory. Bringing our expert production skills and serious music knowledge, witness the booming sound of electrotek in the perfectly gritty surroundings of the Rhythm Factory in Whitechapel.
Two rooms of sounds, combined and crafted so good music is constantly playing in all areas, with DJs Blende, 30hz, Laser, WeHateYou, Arrow!!!, Night Facilities and many more pumping out the sounds on our monster rig!
Blende is a name a few of you will be familiar with, but for those who know, he is the boy wonder of electro tech beat madness right now. On hearing his productions, MSTRKRFT immediatley got hold of him trying to get more of his stuff, The Klaxons got him to remix one of their tunes ("It's Not Over Yet"), and tech funk supremo Meat Katie immediately signed the boy Lot49, thats without mentioning the stupidly good releases he has had on Plasmapool (Germany). All in all, this man is going places, everyone will know his name in 6 months. We believe in him so much we've made him headliner.
30hz aka Ginz - the man of many alter egos and new realms of amazing talent has been a busy boy of late. Now signed to Lot49, Ginz has been bashing out stomping tracks all Summer, just releasing his remix of Meat Katies & D. Ramirez's track "Stop The Revoltion" all the while working on his forthcoming artist album - The Electric Sheep LP. On top of this, he is one half of the Bodysnatchers, who have recently remixed Ferry Corsten (in to one of the tunes of the year!!) and Krafty Kuts. He also writes techno as (Emptyset) and gets his music featured in video games and movies... and now he's at electrotek!
Laser joins us from West London underground word-of-mouth party crew Estimated Time of Arrival (E.T.A) - voted Sunday Times Styles Best Party 2006 - and anyone catching one of his sets at Leeds Festival, Sonica, Connect or even Benicassim this year will know this guy seriously rocks it with his own productions littering his sets.
Joining that lot, we have Bliss ressies WeHateYou who seriously move every party they play at with their own blend of anything-that-pumps dance music. We also have Superfilths resident Arrow!!! - we just had to get this guy after hearing his debut on Lobe Records - his tunes, re-edits and DJ sets are fucking sick!
Talking of re-edits - Night Facilities is causing some ruckus at the moment with his electro'ed up re-edits of (amongst many others) the Go Team!, Digitalism, Mr Oizo, and even Soul II Soul! This young skin is going places - we're pretty lucky to be one of his first London shows...

At Monday Murkage we believe that music is all about bringing people together and catching jokes, rather than being the serious, divisive tool it often is. And so we've gone a step further in throwing out the rule book and put together a diverse list of Manchester's most exciting and talented acts from across the genre spectrum. It's an Electro Breaks Techno Garage HipHop House mashup. Get me.
