Jay Collins and Mark Wagstaff AKA The Funk Junkies are Djs, producers and promoters from the north of England. Their club event 'charged' is one of the UK's fastest growing house brands throwing regular sell out parties across England, Malta and Ibiza. Last year saw the guys move up a gear and begin producing. In little under 12 months their productions have gained support from the likes of Steve Angello, Deepgroove, Sonny Wharton and more.
The Funk Junkies first release on Elektriqa is a double A side. First up is Fragile, a peak time record with a simple yet hypnotic riff that definitely crosses musical boundaries. Gush, on the other hand is a dubby, twisted progressive house bomb graced with a tight and catchy lead.
Keep an eye out for more Funk Junkies productions forthcoming on Elektriqa.

The 3rd release on Nu Breed Music sub-label, Elektriqa sees a collaboration between 2 of the biggest rising stars in the underground dance scene, Mark Maitland and Christian Hoff.
Both Mark and Christian have been extremely busy over recent months working on their own solo projects for labels like UMM, Salacious and 852, but this is the first time they have worked together in the studio under this new alias – and what a result!
All 3 tracks incorporate elements of both producers trademark styles, brought together with devastating effect! Subtle percussion, minimal yet clever basslines and teasing drops all give each track that definite xfactor that so many engineers strive to achieve. Early radio support from Andi Durrant on Galaxy FM (the biggest Saturday dance radio show in the UK) highlights that these tracks are certainly going to blow up!
Mark’s recent productions have caught the attention of some major players, both his remix of Mauro Picottos "Evribadi" and new EP on In.Toxicate are being championed by the likes of Gabriel & Dresden, John Acquaviva, Timo Garcia and more. Ricky Stone has taken such a liking to Mark’s productions he has asked him to remix two of his latest tracks, Shanghai Taxi (852) and Fiasco (Underwater)
Christian has just completed a remix of Colin Hobbs “coming up” forthcoming on White Noise which is getting support right
