About me:
Under the name “spex” hides a young Russian producer Maxim Prikhodko, who works at the turn of two styles – progressive trance and progressive house, combining them with electro sounds.
He was born in 1980 and already in 1994 he finished piano class of a music school, and in 1999 he started his first experiments with electronic music.
Professional career of the musician started in 2005 with the signing a single “asteroid” to SOG Records. Even before it was released on vinyl in 2006 Brisker & Magitman’s remix was released on 2 compilations and finally the number of compilations raised to 4.
After the phenomenal success of “asteroid” there came painstaking work of finding artists own style and sound. And as a result there appeared several digital releases on various labels. Electronic Wizardry EP – the last release of 2006 of a young but fast-growing English label Neuroscience – was the greatest success. On of the tracks of this EP – Simple Spell – gained wide popularity having been supported by the monsters of trance scene such as Solarstone, who described it as both “sexy” and “gorgeous”.
2007 was met by making remixes for various labels. But the producer doesn’t also forget about his own productions, preparing some fresh releases for 2007 on labels such as Underground Lessons and Neurodcience. Enjoy!
