Hindu mythology states that the elephant-headed deity Ganesha has a small mouth and big ears in order to caution others to talk less, and to listen more instead. He stands for thinking big, and working in a concentrated manner. This elephant has some nice principles, we should build one just like him, we thought, since we are determined to give artists with a creative, different sound a chance to be heard. Without further ado, and without telling a long story about the hows and whys of starting a record label, we are here to listen, and to bring you things to listen to.
The Elephant Factory considers itself to be something like a family. We place great emphasis on a term that seems to become more and more neglected: a little thing called “artist development”. We want our artists to feel comfortable; they can approach us with whatever it is they need to get off their chest, and we will do our best to help them.
