"Hi Guys
Sorry I have yet to approve your friend request. Unfortunately, the ************* is run by *************** and on your info you make reference to taking class A drugs which means I can't approve your request.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but even on this friendly, open website, I must bear in mind that councillors, tax payers etc use myspace and I can't be seen to approve drug taking.
Entirely up to you, but if you still want to befriend us, then just remove the line which tells us that you like taking drugs whilst listening to music.
Sorry for the "police" mentally.
Cheers"

Elephants on Acid first got together in January 2008 after two nights and two days of jamming in a dusty Hyde Park basement in Leeds. Their first songs were recorded the next day, just a few hours after Singer Andrei Nosov decided he didn’t want to be the rhythm guitarist for The Blueskins any more.
Drummer Calvin Sargeant, just out of drunken coma, managed to keep the beat well on Elephants’ famous fans’ favourite, ‘Miss Me When I’m Gone’.
Surprisingly, Elephants got into gigging immediately and played solidly around the country throughout 2008, releasing two EPs and selling over 200 copies of them without any help from record companies.
Their fearless live performances amazed hundreds of gig goers, some of whom became fans instantly. The mass of shaking hair provided by the little monster of a bass player Q, in contrast with the stone-cold eyeballs of keyboardist Eyeballs, terrified the audience and seemed to work like a magnet for their ears.
EOA have been called ‘The new Doors’, ‘The Mothers of all Cream’ and ‘Psychedelic blues monsters’ for a good reason: no one has heard anything close to their sound since 1969!
Elephants record new tracks every month, so we can expect a new record from them at any time plus tour dates wherever their crazy freak flag may take them in 2009.
THE ORIGINS OF ELEPHANTS ON ACID:
“In 1962, three men at the University of Oklahoma, led by the idiosyncratic, CIA-collaborator Louis Jolyon "Jolly" West, injected LSD into an elephant for the first time. Their stated intent was to determine if LSD would induce "musth", a naturally occurring condition in which elephants become violent and uncontrollable. After a series of events, the elephant died. There is some controversy and confusion surrounding the cause of death.”
In the beginning, Jojo “Wooden Leg” Mojo, had a vision… a vision of a world dominated by music, love and recreational substances. During a summer night of 1945, he developed a strain of Vodka which enabled him to take control of a human being and do with them as he willed. With no musical virtuosity of his own, he decided to take control of the world through a band of such great freedom and love that the whole universe would be inspired to agree and finally achieve world peace. Upon his discovery, the puppet master Jojo “Wooden Leg” Mojo set out to find some unwitting musicians to use as his instruments…
Calvin Sargeant, known to his mother as CK Thunder, provided the rhythm skills Jojo needed to begin the foundations of his visionary band. Through Calvin, Jojo also encountered a wandering gypsy guitar player named Andrei Nosov. A native of Russia, Andrei had previously been an alcoholic tennis player, who provided hours of street entertainment performing top class volleys for beer money. Upon his relocation to England, his talents had quickly changed to that of a guitar virtuoso. During this period of time, a street urchin named Q stole a bass from Paul McCartney’s van under the influence of Double Dutch and Absinthe, and began pretending to learn the instrument. In a spontaneous, unrelated coincidence, the three musicians met whilst accidentally playing together onstage a cover of Pink Floyd’s ‘Bike’. Upon seeing these three perform, Jojo kidnapped a keyboard player, one Adam Sweet, and injected his mind controlling Vodka into his bloodstream. Jojo set Sweet upon Andrei, seducing and injecting him also with the Vodka substance. All four were soon under the influence of Jojo “Wooden Leg” Mojo, and immediately gained talent and camaraderie. Elephants on Acid was born.
The four, although never actually setting eyes upon Jojo, stayed awake for ninety-three days not writing any songs whatsoever, until the day they found a cellar with a tape recorder; they wrote and recorded five songs in two minutes. To this day, the band has never caught so much as a glimpse of Jojo, who is believed to be an ancient and wise being. The result is a psychedelic-blues-powered-garage-rock sound, which, to any ears that hear it, immediately induces the effect of the Vodka, and an overwhelming sense of well being envelops any listener.
