EletriKa was formed in 1998 by Claudio David (OverDose's founder and leader) with the initial purpose of playing an
Industrial sound in Portuguese. After a drastic line-up change, the band turned its sound into a heavier rock approach,
recording V.S.F and its international version, S.O.B. After many gigs in Brazil and a fifteen-day French tour, EletriKa
topped it off its S.O.B CD promotion tour, playing the Hellfest (ex-Fury Fest), most famous Metal French festival, along with
Soulfly, Testament, Life Kit, Fear Factory, Slipknot, among others. Back to Brazil, EletriKa had the mission of facing the
renowned “Porão do Rock” Festival, where it presented one of the most acclaimed performances of that night, according to the
local media. In 2009 EletriKa enters in a new phase in its career, recording "Zombie Factory", a huge internet hit.

O EletriKa foi formado em 1998 por Claudio David (fundador e lider do OverDose) com a proposta inicial de fazer um som
Industrial em português. Depois de uma drástica mudança de
formação, a banda mudou seu som para uma abordagem mais próxima do rock pesado, gravando
V.S.F e sua versão internacional S.O.B. Depois de várias apresentações no Brasil e um turnê
de 15 dias pela França, EletriKa fechou com chave de ouro sua turnê de divulgação do cd
S.O.B, tocando no Fury Fest, mais famoso festival de rock da França, junto com Soulfly,
Testament, Life Kit, Fear Factory, Slipknot, entre outras bandas. De volta ao Brasil, o
EletriKa teve a missão de encarar o renomado festival “Porão do Rock”, onde apresentou uma
das mais aclamadas performances da noite, de acordo com a mídia local. Em 2009 o EletriKa
inicia em uma nova fase em sua carreira com a gravação da música Zombie Factory.

There is nothing typical about S.O.B. it is a collection of cross fusion of industrial and metal elements Brazilian style.
“Zombie Factory” is the latest track featuring the new vocalist Nay Melo and he has stepped up to the job perfectly,
providing excellent power for the heaviness of “Zombie…”. The fast and furious riffing provides the dimension that gives the
attitude and originality along with unique guitar tone. EletriKa change direction just before you think you know where the
next bar is heading.
The title track “S.O.B”, which has a more sombre intro shows the versatility of EletriKa, providing excellent variation of
rhythm change-ups, catchy melodies as well as fitting in those Brazilian grooves. “Hey Mister” follows up with more funky
rhythms and catchy song writing. Street cred is one of the key signatures for EletriKa’s sound mixing just the right anger
and attitude with memorable choruses that just explode with excellent vocal and riffing intensity, “Give it Back” is a good
example of this.
The slipping into different languages between Portuguese and English is so smooth and gives them much credit to dare to stand
out amongst the crowd, including some tracks sung completely in Portuguese. It is more than just pleasant on the ear you’ll
find yourself humming to the lyrics. There are great crossover styles, listen to “I Gotta” , which has all the hallmarks of
making EletriKa’s appeal across the board quite attractive to all rock, alternative and metal fans. EletriKa explore their
more mellow side in “Keep Me Alive” and the slightly more up tempo “Animal” and “Dizer Nao”.
The extremely addictive “Corra”, where the rhythm and bass work is so infectious it will get you charging up for some real
foot stomping and headbanging!! S.O.B is a great accomplishment showing how to experiment whilst keeping the commerciality
and credibility for originality. It is a unique performance of high quality vocals, rhythms and riffs that is refreshing and
brilliant.
