What do you get when you smash an acoustic guitar over the head of a heavy metal drummer? You get the characteristic sound of Elf Farm Raffle!
"EFR" is a rhythm rock band with a modern, indie edge based out of the San Francisco Bay area. The band has developed an exciting sound that starts with a traditional core of electric guitar, bass and drums then marries it with a full-time acoustic guitar and percussion setup. Match all that with raw, powerful vocals and you have a solid rock sound that demands to be heard as well as experienced through one of their intense live performances!
Elf Farm Raffle found its start in late 2001 when guitarist Chris Dana discovered vocalist Brandon Vigil singing in a local club. The two scouted other local talents to round out their crew. With the addition of Brandon Harper on drums, Jeff Terrel on bass, Dylan Brown on the acoustic guitar and Matt Vincent on percussion, EFR's line-up was set.
After the success of its first release, So Much for the Echoes, the band released its second album titled The Desperate Mile. EFR is currently in the studio working on their third album which is scheduled for release in late 2009. .
In support of their entire catalog, new and old, Elf Farm Raffle has been packing houses all over California and beyond. With their latest effort on the horizon, the group is poised to continue their success!
