The Elfo building was designed and constructed by a team of architects and engineers with the express purpose of providing the ultimate in sound reproduction and recording. The materials used for construction, including volcanic rock, wood, glass and steel, assure the maximum in natural and balanced acoustics. The interior is unique, yet practical. Even the lighting, including natural light sources, has been carefully conceived to put musicians and technicians at ease in a special environment.
It is no wonder Elfo Recording Studio has attracted the attention of experts from different fields and prompted articles in various trade magazines.
At Elfo, design is backed up with the latest in sound reproduction equipment, recording technology and know-how. Digital blends harmoniously with the wonders of analogue, allowing for reproduction of a wide range of musical nuances and, at the same time, taking advantage of the latest in editing and data management. Youll find, for example: Avalon, API, Amek, Focusrite, Manley, SSL and Waves, to name a few.
An assortment of available microphone types includes valve, condenser, ribbon, FET and dynamic. Elfo has got AKG, Audix, Cad, Geloso, Neumann, Royer, Sennheiser, Shure and Telefunken. There are headphones to accompany various listening needs and sensibilities, including AKG, Beyerdynamic, Grado, Sennheiser and Sony.
Elfo also has a vintage department with original equipment from the 50s, 60s and 70s to satisfy the most scrupulous and nostalgic palates with sounds that have characterised the golden moments of recording history.
Two fully functional, independent sound recording suites are available:
Studio A
is perfect for acoustic ensembles and projects that require the utmost in acoustic quality;
Studio B
is especially suitable for rock n roll bands, pre-production and audio-visual digital editing with 5.1 surround sound.
Innovative design and equipment, finally, are accompanied by qualified staff. Elfo prides itself on providing personable care by experienced technicians and consultants who work with the prerogative of satisfying the artists needs efficiently in a friendly and constructive ambience.
Ample lounge space and country surroundings allow for better concentration and artistic inspiration when the Elfo staff is not assisting you.
