"It's really monged and really beautiful. I used to stay up with my friend Remi getting stoned and trying to find enough music like it to last the whole night. It sounds a bit like Basinski or ambient Aphex doing the Blade Runner soundtrack." - David Bell (gotcha)

   About EL Heath

My name is Eric. The "L" in my name stands for "Loveland", a point not lost when I was younger for the obvious hilarity it spews. I write music these days, which I release for free. Maybe this means people will hear it. I hope so. It would be a shame if it was wasted. You can listen/download it below, you can listen to newer/older stuff above. I play gigs, play in bands, record for people who ask me to and compose soundtracks for films, animations, ideas and things I find inspiring (look left).

I record as:

EL Heath (this page)

Eric Heath (more experimental fun stuff, anything goes)

Loveland (electronic noodlings)

I am a member of:

The Hungry I (in recorded form and occasionally live)

Strap the Button (both recorded and live, sometimes playing accordion with a painted on moustache)

Scaly Hand (one half of a free-visual art and audio project, mainly responsible for production duties)

I collaborate with:

Robert Redford for Bedford

DJ the Blade

Hubbard (hopefully soon)

My releases:

Reflecting (Ambient & Loop Tracks Autumn 2006)
5 track EP (15:39) My Formica Table and Either/Or joint release

I think I saw you play with the bottom strappers last year at the croft? A fine show.
We're doing a research project in the summer with bees, rather looking forward to it. Are you going to be doing another show in Bristol anytime soon?

May 5 2009 6:27 PM

Why yes I do! Bristol friend of the boys, Dom and I are planning on saving the bees.

That's cool man, yeah Peta's great percussionist too, and a beautiful singer, and seemingly an all round good egg!
I've got a few mics to choose from, i have systems to the way i do this, i'm a little obsessive about phasing and distance.
I seem to spend more time doing that, than actuall playing or writing anything, my computer is a wash with unfinished ideas!
Timothy Parkes

Feb 9 2009 11:50 AM

Yeah it's a lovely take, dead nice.
I'd like to hear the guitar un- plugged in, if you know what i mean, but it's a lovely song, and a lovely treatment on the squosebox
Timothy Parkes
