After completing her primary and secondary education, Elif GÖKALP was accepted by Gazi University, Faculty of Educational Science, Music/ Vocational Training Department in 1991 as becoming the first winner among the other applications. As following Bachelor of Art, she was accepted to the Master of Art Programmer of the same university and department. During M.A. period, she has taken courses such as performing arts, drama, diction from Bilkent University Performing Arts-Vocal Training and Opera Department and Hacettepe University Conservatory. In addition, she has participated to Vocal Training Seminars at different summer schools in different countries.
In 1995, she successfully passed the recruitment examination, which was opened by Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) and became TRT Ankara Radio Artist. She still maintains her position at this institution. In addition, between 1996 and 2003, she worked as trainer and chorus conductor of TRT Ankara Radio Polyphonic Children Chorus.
Along with the above-given missions, Elif Gökalp has been assigned as soloist to numerous orchestral or a-capella TRT Concerts and she has had a good innings with the other solo studies, concerts and recitals. Besides, it is possible to find her strong interpretation and voice within the albums, which have been recorded by successful composers such as Can ATİLLA and which make her name as a mark in this field.
Elif Gökalp aims to be a performer, who would like to be a presenter of ‘Ambience’ Music in Turkey as harmonizing the Vocal/ Şan Technique- a fundamental element of Opera Culture with Turkish Authentic and Ethnic Melodies and adding an extra ordinary inspiration and color to the Traditional Turkish Music Tones…
Her voice, which challenges to the octaves, will get attention through her performance at different music genres as re-defining the notion of “making music peaceful with voice”…
