I have a worked in entertainment since I was six years old, when I had a recurring role (actor/ singer) on CBC's "Sesame Street". In 1999 I was the youngest ever recipient of the CFAT (Centre for Art Tapes) video grant. I used the grant to produce, direct, and edit a music video staring a local rapper. (Shane Frasier aka Rink Dog) The video was played to the public in a CBC short film showing. In 2003 I began to host "The Big Black Rap Show" on CKDU 97.5fm {now 88.1fm} in Halifax, Nova Scotia and continued that until 2006. I performed a rap and acted in the BBI's (Black Business Initiative) play the "Umoja Project" in 2005. I was a co-lead acting in a play put on by the End of the Underground Railroad Independent Theatre Company entitled "The Rhythm With in Him" in the same year. I worked as the host of CBC's "Street Cents" for the shows (17th and) final season in 2006. I also co-produced and co-wrote several pieces for Street Cents. During that year I was a freelance reporter and journalist for Canada Now. In the summer of 2006 I booked a minor speaking role in the mini series "North/South" and was also the co-lead in the independently produced Actra sanctioned short film "Enough". In 2006/ 2007 I joined Actra as a full member and signed with my agent Mark Lockington at Steve Young and Associates. I Booked a spot for "Kellogg’s Munchems" and a "Health and Safety" commercial for the Government of Ontario and I also held several on stage stand-up comedy performances at Yuk Yuk’s comedy Club in downtown Toronto. I then spent the remainder of 2007 working on my craft attending acting level 3 courses under John Boylan at the Centre for the Arts. Now in 2008 I’ve booked commercial spots currently airing for the "Nissan Versa" and "KFC Toasted Twister" I have secured the leading role in the play "Sweet Sweet Karaila" presented by Roots International Arts Theatre Inc. at the Palmerston Theatre on July,25, A role in Unleashed Underground which was apart of the "Rock Paper Sistaz" showcase at Theatre Passemeraille on May, 29th and I'm taking part in a play showing at the Factory Theatre entitled "Virgins Unite" on June, 26th. Also the Sweet Sweet Karaila will be playing at Carifesta in Guyana in August.
