Fred is a singer/songwriter, he started pursuing his love for music, as a boy, growing up in Kentucky with some of the greats such as Keith Whitley, Montgomery Gentry, Les Taylor, Bob Goff and J.P. Pennington of Exile. He was most influenced by his stepfather, Mr. David Blakey, who played the “Grand old opry” and the “Louisiana Hayride”, and who taught Fred some of the finer points of the music industry and playing the guitar. Fred decided to pursue his musical career in mid 2008 when he put up a MySpace site, and started writing new songs to add to his existing, unusually large portfolio that holds over 450 songs. Just after writing a new song called “High Hills Dangerous Curves” in February 2009, Fred invited some musicians to play the new song, at Joey Hall’s studio in Brookfield, GA., It sounded so good that they decided to record the song that night.
