Eli Maniscalco writes songs about people he’s never known, places he’s never seen, and things he’s never done.
With a storyteller’s eye for detail, a folksinger’s passion and enthusiasm, and an often quirky sense of humor, he invites comparisons to Paul Simon, Randy Newman, Woody Guthrie and others. While his lyric writing is rooted in the folk tradition, his influences range from folk to jazz to musical theater, with classic rock and other styles thrown in as well.
In 2007 Maniscalco released his debut EP entitled “Everything You Say”, and since 2003 he has been half of the comic folk duo Russ & Eli. He is also a versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer, working as a sideman for various artists in the New York area.

Hey eli, Thank you for listening! Damn i love your guitars!! Great sound! You got such great tunes man! It's cool to have a friend in common, maybe we'll meet someday. Let me know on anything happening! And please, come download my EP for free on my page. Love, (cause we need it) haha
HEY! now im not gonna be all sleazy and pretend that im actually saying hello, 'cause its gonna be pretty obvious that this is a mass-produced message. But the good thing is, there are no evil intentions I need to disguise anyway! I'm simply writing cause me and my band are playing a show tomorrow night and naturally we want people to come. It's at Public Assembly, 70 N. 6th St. in Williamsburg, and we're on at 7:30. $10 - but we'll make that up to you. sheesh! If only everyone was this straightforward, people would fall in love more often!
Thanks for tracking us down on here! It was good meeting and hearing you yesterday... hopefully we'll cross paths again sooner than later. Peace & Respect...
