About me:
Creating contrasts between light and dark, playfulness and subversion, sacred and profane. Fashion design with a nod to the 19th century artists, architects, designers and writers. Signature fabrics include silk brocades, hemp/silk blends and vintage prints. Corsets feature all steel boning, and up to five layers of fabric. All garments are handmade locally, using both traditional tailoring techniques and modern machinery.
After a brief affair at Gorman House in early 2002, my ready-to-wear was picked up by the fabulous boutique Rouge Vintage, which evolved into Ruby and Rogue. My ready-to-wear designs are now stocked exclusively through Raven, 108 Bunda St Civic, http://ravenclothing.net. Currently I focus more on custom design; please contact me for more details.
