Life is a Story. This is true for every soul.
It is a love story, we assure you. But it is set in the midst of a life and death battle. That is why it seems so hard.
The story of your life is the story of the journey of your heart through a dangerous and beautiful world. It is the story of the long and sustained assault on your heart by the Enemy who knows who you could be and fears you. But it is also the story of the long and mysterious pursuit of your heart by the God who knows you truly and loves you deeply.
As we live through the pages of this story, many questions arise. Who am I…really? Where will I find life…really? And, What is it God wants from me? We know those questions well, for we have lived them ourselves.
WILD AT HEART :
Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul
A Battle to fight. An Adventure to live. A Beauty to rescue. This is what a man longs for. This is what makes him come alive. Look at the films men love. For that matter, look at the dreams of little boys, the games they play. There is something fierce, passionate, and wild in the heart of every man. That is how he bears the image of God. And the reason that most men "live lives of quiet desperation" (Thoreau) is because men have been told that the reason God put them on earth is to be a good boy. To be nice.
God designed men to be dangerous. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: To be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires--aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a nice guy. It is no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death.
Now, in all your boyhood dreams growing up, did you ever dream of becoming a nice guy? Ladies, was the Prince of your dreams dashing... or merely nice? "We've taken away the dreams of a man's heart and told him to play the man." As C.S. Lewis said, 'We castrate the gelding and bid him be fruitful."
EVERY MAN WAS ONCE A BOY . AND EVERY LITTEL BOY HAS DREAMS,BIG DREAMS OF BEING THE HERO ,OF BEATING THE BAD GUYS ,OF DOING DARING FEATS AND RESCUING THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS. EVERY LITTEL GIRL HAS DREAMS,TOO, OF BEING RESCUED BY HER PRINCE AND SWEPT UP INTO A GREAT ADVANTUER, KNOWING THAT SHE IS THE BEAUTY.
Heroes
Who do you think you are?
The next time you think you have an excuse as to why God cant use you ,or why you have nothing to contribute to the service of god , remember the following people :
Abraham was too old
Jacob was a lair
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Mosses was a murderer (like David and Paul)
Deborah was a woman
Gideon was afraid
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David pretended to be crazy .had an affair, committed murder to cover it up and ran away from his own son
Elijah was suicidal
Jonah ran away from god
Naomi was a widow
Job was bankrupt
John the Baptist ate locusts
Peter was impulsive and hot-tempered
John was self-righteous
Martha worried about everything
Mary Magdalene was demon possessed
The boy with the fish and five rolls of bread was too unknown
The Samaritan woman was divorced more than once
Zacchaeus was too short
And Lazarus was dead
Did we leave YOU out? No more excuses! Everyone has value to God. He does not care who you Are – only who he can help you to become, and he sees who you really, since he created you,

Who am I, or who’s am I? Well I am Elias from Bethlehem, yea, Bethlehem, five minutes away from where Jesus was born. Sure it’s a nice place and may be the most holy place for some of us. But lately it’s not the best place to be in, as some of you may now that there is a conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, and all this started almost seven years ago, why!! People got their own perspective about that, if you want to know mine, just ask :). Well, the place I live is few meters away from an Israeli military base, and because there are soldiers in there kids used to come and throw stones on the soldiers, and soldiers used to shoot back, more than twenty kids died next to my house, I could see some of the from the windows, and hearing the last scream before they died was the worst. I grow up with that , where soldiers break the door and gets to my house after mid-night and lock us in a small room guarded by a soldier who was ready to shoot us if we just said a word , my house was shoot at by the soldiers , all kind of bullets and some rockets. I think you can imagine what kind of life it was. Tough ha?!!! It didn’t stop there, now the Israeli army built a wall that is more than 12 meters high, and is exactly in front of my house, you can see some pictures for it in my profile. That made life very hard, and specially the fact that you own this land but now is not yours anymore. With all that it became normal for me to hate those who caused that, and to blame god and stop believing in him. Until something happened, and it turned my view of all this, and since then I started looking at the bigger picture, and trying to work for peace, is it possible, I tell you its very hard but nothing is impossible… I am trying my best to start building a bridge between my people and our neighbors, the Israelis. Well, I better shut up now, but there are lots of things to be told. Now I am still studying in Bethlehem University Sociology and psychology, and I will graduate in the end of December , what’s next , I have no idea ,but I think I will be working in peace and forgiveness projects . I think that me , I am a DREAMER and will be A HISTORY MAKER one day.
Sorry dude..you are absolutely right..guy like me should remain outside just facilitating..praying Jesus and leaving it to God that he fills the heart with joy and peace and wisdom in Israel and Palestine and arise annointed leaders who put his ways and judgement first..I know realise how easy it is to be sucked in and become part of the problem..I think there are so many people like me who have never even visited Jerusalem and think that they have all the answers..One thing I know..Israelis has right to be there as God has shown this land to them..they've spent time in Egypt and in other places as well put eventually God has led them back..Philistines(Palestinians) have always been there as well..I am praying God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob and his son Yeshua to find solution and direct the events and mens hearts instead posing as some peace maker:)Thanks for staying my friend even I offended ur views..thank you for correction as well..I need friends like U who tell the honest truth when I get it wrong, May God Bless U, Aki
Hey Eli! We miss you too! Sophie looked for you yesterday when your door was open. Our home feels very quiet since you left. I took Sophie for a long walk yesterday and even jogged a bit. We missed your company. Fishing sounds great. I'm so glad you are having a blast! We should talk soon, my dear friend. Enjoy your time in FL!
