Man, it's been 35 years now. How did that happen. Music takes over, infest you and gets under your fingernails. Can't let it go! I am so fortunate to be able to say that. In the words of a dear colleague "music is like riding a magic carpet". I have to say it has taken me everywhere, twenty seven countries and most of these united states and counting. Two Grammy awards and finding myself accompanying some of the greatest musicians of the last 50 years from jazz to classical, country to world. And I live in Asheville, NC? Most of my activities of late are with, I am happy to say, the Paul Winter Consort. Perhaps some of the younger viewers on MySpace may say WTF is Paul Winter and if you find this crossing your mind might I suggest checking out the livingmusic.com site. May be something there musically interesting for you. Another group I feel blessed to be associated with is Free Planet Radio. My colleagues and I all reside in these beautiful mountains here in western NC and the desire to connect the world of musical cultures is our shared vision. Please check the link on this page to our band site.
The music industry has changed so much in the last few years. I believe that it is now the time the listener can really get their teeth into new and exciting music going on all around us in new and exciting ways. As consumers we must make the effort though, there is so much to choose from coming to the public so fast it can be a bit distracting seeking the great music that is now available. I hope you will continue to pursue new music as music, I believe is alive and moving forward.
Your track 'Logic & Logos' was very abstract & atmospheric...I liked it very much!!! Also the track 'Dialogue' was full of expression, and truly inspiring to hear.
Thank you very much for your friendship.
We're going to put videos, pictures, tour info and many many more on our page.
Check this cool stuff out!
Love and Peace.
Hello Eliot, thanks for being friends, I've really enjoyed listening to your music. Nice bass-tone and exellent playing, it was great to visit your page. Hope you're doing very well; wish you all the best. Kind regards, Ruud.
Hey Eliot! I'm really looking forward to the show this Sat!! FPR is such a fantastic group, I'm talking world class! I'll try n bring as many ppl as I can to the show. I really dig your playing man; Its cats like you that make young ppl like me want to play better ;)
I saw Toubab Crewe tonight. I liked them. I think you'd enjoy them too. I caught there act from a single table in the back of a barroom with a single stool set up just for me. I wasn't much a fan of the scene, but the scene I'm sure, didn't catch the polyrhythm or the tango. I sould tell because they did the same off tempo hippie dance that drunk hippies are wont dance.
whaddup muh crakuh? I'm planning on being in A'ville Thanksgiving-ish. Doing the Headshear band but that's about it... back working on that TV show again; "Xavier:Renegade Angel" . I love it ... .it's sooo fucked up and random cheers, Vandal
