MySpace Layouts

..

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Simplicity

Music geek, pop culture junkie, indie film lover, BUST magazine reader, Target shopper, mallrat, school counselor, deep sleeper, black cat owner, Honda driver. Lover of Stereolab, Cocteau Twins, Nick Cave, Throwing Muses, Neko Case, Jolie Holland, Tom Waits, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Altman, Nicole Holofcener, Mary Harron, Neil LaBute (sometimes), the Cohen brothers, and animation. I'd like to meet some people who share some of my interests, and are maybe in my neighborhood. I live in the South Bay, San Pedro/Torrance area. I drive to Hollywood, Silverlake, or West LA when I need to go clubbing, see a band, or dine out on occasion, but I don't mind hanging out here. I'm educated, with a masters degree in school counseling, and can be kind of a know-it-all at times. But I can also be a total goofball with a childlike sense of humor. Sometimes I think Bevis & Butthead have secretly taken up residence in the uncharted recesses of my brain. I'm ambitious to a point, but not motivated by material goods - I'm a school counselor fer chrissakes! We don't make beaucoup bucks. I'm comfortable living on my own, going out occasionally and hanging out with friends. In the past 7 years, I've spent so much time concentrating on going to school and on my career that my social circle has dwindled. I'd like to meet some new people. I'd really like to meet women with whom I can kvetch about movies, music, books, dating (internet dating, in particular!), stereotypes of women in popular media, family issues, job issues, boyfriend issues, girlfriend issues, whatever, life. I'm ok with meeting guy friends, too.

Who I'd like to meet:

I'd prefer to meet people who live in the South Bay because it's my part of town. But if you live in other parts of LA, that's ok, too. Westsiders, eastsiders - great, as long as there's no westside/eastside attitude. I'm happy to hang out in your neighborhood, as long as you're happy to hang out in mine. If you share some of my interests, all the better - indie film, books, music (preferably morose indie pop music from the '80s and '90s), boys with guitars, glasses, samplers and too many Stereolab cds.... I'd also like to meet people with a little ambition and interest in personal growth; someone stable, but not necessarily in stasis. I usually don't respond well to women who mention their daily caloric intake or exercise regime in every conversation. There are so many other things to talk about! Nor do I wish to meet anyone on the path of Bridezilla, or whose biological clock is ticking so loudly it permeates every conversation. If you have children, that's wonderful, but I would hope they're not the sole topic of conversation. Despite all these negatives, I can actually be a positive person on occasion...with the right song on the radio, a good cocktail in my hand, good friends around me... And if you're a competitive board game player, all the better. Watch out, I'll kick your butt at Uno.

Your an adult baby...you know they're going to screw you in the end...that's why you have to be beligerent towards them at times, write angry letters and postings and perhaps maybe they'll forgive your debt.

Otherwise, I knew Bally's sucked...but they're all evil fcks when it comes to grubbing at the green.

This is why I am not a member of any of these health clubs because they suck you into these effing contracts. Anyways, I wanted to call you about Bat's Day. My Summer school class does not allow me to go to any pre-events, but I still want to go to the Fun in the Park day. I just love seeing Disneyland invaded by goths.

Heya girl. Welcome to the pathetic world of hanging out with your friends online, wasting copious amounts of time that should be used to actually be doing work at work, and having weird guys from Africa sending you marriage proposals. Myspace, gotta love it.
