I began performing classic jazz in June 2007, and I've never looked back. While I've developed a unique sound, I thank so many classic singers for their influence and inspiration, including: Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, Peggy Lee and Nancy Sinatra.
Currently, I'm singing around Toronto (mostly) Catch me singing jazz at the Drake Hotel every Friday*.
*except on occasion....Also, I am lead singer of Whale Tooth, a Toronto-based pop/rock band......check it out: http://www.myspace.com/whaletooth ....
Just stopping by to comment on your impeccable vocals. Loved your covers of great classics: "Paper Moon", "Ain't Misbehavin'", and "Someone to Watch Over Me". I first found you on Rayburn's page, and was immediately taken by what I heard. Keep up the great work, and please stay in touch.
Hi Elise, I'd be into doing some playing in the winter, if you are around then. Maybe something sparse like a trio or even a duo? Back from tour in December, drop me a line if that sounds appealing! :)
This is sort of irrelevant to music matters but still very important.
I recently submitted a video to a contest with the purpose to prevent drunk driving and the winner will win a college scholarship so please watch and vote if you like my video here:
