HI, My name is Elisestar, ELii for short! I am a vocalist. I love drum and bass music. I am still a baby to the history of Dnb, but I have always grew up listening to music. My mother was a music major when she was pregnant with me. I have always been surrounded by music from Classical to Jazz to church music to 60’s-70’s tunes to motown to Rap to hip hop.
I love drums and beautiful melodies. When I was little I loved watching old classic films with Gene Kelly, Cyd Charisse, Esther Williams, Dorris Day, and many others! I loved singing along with the movies. Singing in the Rain is still one of my favorite tunes. I always had an ear for picking out different notes and beats in songs. When I was 5 years old until I was 11, I went to a school in Panama City, Florida. My music teacher, Mrs. Thompson, taught me about sight reading and different instruments e.g. unusual instruments around the world, recorders, percussion. I loved singing in the choirs too. I was in one at school and at church. I was taught piano by my Aunt Betty(I rarely play now). I played the clarinet a few years in middle school and return to my singing roots in high school.
Lyrics really move me as an artist. I started listening to DnB in 2002. Hip hop and breaks were my first love, but I love the rolling sounds u can do with basslines. I self taught myself how to dj by going to parties and watching friends dj. I was instructed a little by friends, but kind of went on my own.
In 2004, I was invited to listen ..shockradio by Missrepresent. I have made a lot of friends and connections there that have helped me pursue the creative side in me.
In 2006, i tuned into Mistic on his first ASR show. I loved his tunes. They were dark and hard Dnb. Just recently I was asked my opinion on a album title. Mistic asked if I could record my words. Deep in the Mist was made. One of my favorite lines in this tune is " There is always a balance even if you dont see it at first. This is just a step in my new journey as a vocalist. This brings you to date on my music page.
I am the voice, not the beats! I love to sing and write lyrics. I want to reach people thru different styles of Dnb or any style of music. I am a free spirit and music moves me!
Thanks mistic for shining that light on the path of my dreams!
Thanks to all my friends and family for support!

We just picked up some new mastering speakers and would like to put them to the test. We are going to give out FREE mastering sessions for artist. Feel free to submit 1 song for our consideration and if we accept the work we will notify you before we start work on your song. Each song will take approximately 1 day each so please give us some time to complete the work. We will only take the first 10 projects.
What should you send?
This is the most important part.
1. No crappy recordings. If it sounds bad to start with I cannot help. If the recording is bad I will not work on the project so dont get your feelings hurt if I refuse to do your song.
1a. The recording must be from a commercial studio. No home recordings please. If the mixing and sound is not good I cant do anything to help the tracks.
2. There must not be ANY compression or LIMITING on the final mix. If you do not know what this is then talk to the engineer that did the work. If he does not know what that is then call me. Your mix should be very very bouncy and it should NOT go into the RED at any point. Distortion in the overall mix is Baaaaaaaaaaad.
3. I will not accept MP3's. This is one of the worst formats to work in and the sound quality is terrible. Regardless of how much it is used it is bad. Trust me. We need either a WAVE or a AIF file. Not an MP3 that has been converted BACK into a better file but a file that started out as a WAVE or AIF and is stil lin that format. Trust me. I can tell !
4. Feel free to ZIP the file to save space.
5. If you cannot email your file I can give you some alternative ways to send me the songs. DROPBOX is t
