We don't have music on our musicplayer just because it looks good, now do we?!
Four friends once decided they had enough of playing other artist’s work. More than once they performed together in different bands. That’s how it became perfectly clear that there was a mutual 'vibe' going on between them. And so, Elister was born.
Musically as well as personally, despite the variety in musical taste and influences, and big differences in personality, they get along with each other extremely well.
Songs emerged out of rough ideas and the four friends where so enthusiastic, that they decided to continue in the course that was set.
After a number of gigs, band contests and a local tour with friends from the band ‘Dialogue’ (http://www.myspace.com/dialoguetheband), Harmen decided to leave Elister to focus on his studies. Soon after that, Erik was found and proved to be a more than worthy replacement, giving the existing, as well as the older songs his own unique sound.
The band's style is best described as pop/rock, but groove is essential and here and there mixed with a healthy dose of funk.
But, when listening to the songs, the difference in musical influences of the individual members will become clear. This will naturally demand no less than the listener’s full attention.
To make a short story even shorter, Elister plays grooving rock with a soulful female voice, and makes sure to leave you tired from dancing and wanting more…
