With a win Wednesday, the USA, coached by St. Ignatius coach and Westlake resident Chuck Kyle, would play in the Gold Medal game Sunday against the Canada-Japan winner.
The US, the No. 2 seed, exploded for 24 points in the first seven minutes and 46 seconds to take a 24-0, first-quarter lead over France, in the fourth game of the Junior World Championship of American Football quadruple-header.
