1983年、日本人の母、アメリカ人の父の元に生まれ、 沖縄、東京、フィラデルフィア、カリフォルニア、そしてノースカロライナにて育つ。16歳から、プロデュース、作曲、ギターリストとしてプロアーティストの活動を支え、その後、california institute of the arts のテクノロジープログラムを専攻し、サウンドデザイン, プログラミング, エンジニアリング及び作曲のスキルを身につける。在学中にspeakersを結成し、daedelusとも共演を果たし、また、同校にてableton liveの講義を行うなど、早くからその才能を見出される。
