Here are the 'trailers' to two of my novels: The Time Of Singing and A Place Beyond Courage. I had great fun making these with Windows Movie Maker. I hope you enjoy them!
Music
I have a very eclectic taste in music but one of the most important things about my listening habits is that I use music to help me write my novels. I listen to it away from the PC while I'm doing other jobs and I find that the lyrics, the music and emotional resonances help me to create scenes and scenarios in my head. They help me understand my characters and give me a creative boost. All the songs you hear on this Myspace site are ones that appear as soundtracks to my novels and I'll change them once a fortnight so do keep dropping by to see what's new! It doesn't matter that it's not Medieval music. Society may change, but emotions don't.
Currently I have a track from my forthcoming hardcover release, A PLACE BEYOND COURAGE, the remarkable true story of John FitzGilbert Marshal, father of William Marshal: BLUE AND YELLOW by The Used is a wonderful song and it has a lot of meaning with reference to my personal relationship with John. I also used it as one of the relationship songs between Joscelin de Gael and Linnet de Montsorrel on the forthcoming re-issue of my novel SHIELDS OF PRIDE, due out this December. The other song, SECRET GARDEN is a Bruce Springsteen cover by Damnhait Doyle and Tom Cochrane and covers the relationship between Joscelin and Linnet and William Ironheart and his lost love Morwenna de Gael.
The first youtube video is of a favourite band, Nightwish, performing Over The Hills and Far Away, a song on the sountrack of THE GREATEST KNIGHT. The second Video is the trailer for my forthcoming novel A PLACE BEYOND COURAGE, due out October 4th. I had great fun creating it with Windows Movie Maker

I've just finished reading the conquest, it is the first book I have read by you and I was hooked all the way through. I will be reading lots more of your books as they are truly the best thing I think I've ever read!
Ayalla, Elizabeth,Just finished Crusade & just like the Brethren it took me 2 3rds of the book to get me hooked. But once I did there was no putting it down. Can't wait to get started on Falcons of Montabard. Did you see timewatch on Saturday? It was all about William Marshal. Haven't seen it yet downloading it from BBCi.
Happy new Year Elizabeth thanks for the add. Be sure to get my fix with the book tokens I received for Christmas. Good Luck with your latest, I'm waiting with bated breath.
Happy New Year! I throughly enjoyed Shields of Pride, I'd started reading it before, but wanted to wait for the new cover. My bookshelf looks amazing with all the beautiful covers of your books. :) Looking forward to your next release!
Happy New Year Elizabeth, Browsing in my local library t' other day, came across Falcons and promptly snatched it from the shelf. Problem is I'm only a third of the way through crusade by Robyn Young, can't read it quick enough now, it's good but can't wait to get onto yours.
Hi Elizabeth, thanks for adding me.....I'm hooked on the books! thanks so much, Greatest Knight has me wishing I could whisk away back in time and have a few days in the arms of William Marshall...my goodness what a thought! x
Thanks so much the quick add! I've enjoyed your books the past few years - especially "The Marsh King's Daughter". Re-read it just a couple months ago. Also enjoy your thoughts and comments in the HistFict forum! ~ Cheers
Only Me! I just wanted to let you know that I did finish those last 90 pages. And I'm now re-reading The Greatest Knight (again!) Roll on 'Shields of Pride' I say....
A Place Beyond Courage is fantastic. And the first book of yours that I haven't managed to devour in less than 2 days! 90 pages left to go... hope you are well. Thankyou for your fab writing. x
I have to say that I really love your books. I first started reading them about a year ago, and got hooked, totally by accident!!! I wanted a book to read as I was about to go a really long train journey, so I just went into the nearest book shop, had a quick look around and picked up "The Love Knot" Since then, I cant help walking into a book shop without picking up one of your books. I'm currently reading "The Champion" and I cant put it down. Gonna have to go book shopping again soon tho, because I've nearly finished it.
Thankyou for adding me! I adore your novels; many longer novels can look daunting but with yours I relish ravaging them! I am afraid that I'm terribly in love with Fulke FitzWarin (both senior and junior, oh my) and William Marshal.
Thank you SO much for adding me! I am a huge fan... totally immersing myself in your books!! Almost finished "The Champion" and am torn between "The Love Knot" and "The Conquest" next..... *decisions decisions* What wonderful choices....:-D
Am currently stuck to William Marshal and i rarely venture anywhere without him at the moment - so just wanted to say - thanks for giving me the peasurs of his company hun !!!
I have been reading your books for a little over a year now, and I have hunted and found all of your first editions that are out of print in the USA. You had me on the first book that I read "Shadows and Strongholds". I can't wait for your new book.
haha. We've always had guinea pigs at home since I was little, when one died we went to the pet shop for another. My mum and dad did sy a few years ago 'no more' (as its them who ended up looking after them back at home with me being away) but they missed the chirpiness guinea pigs brought so they ended up getting Billy & Benny from the petshop...
Delighted and honoured by the add, sending my warmest best wishes for the continued success of your wonderful books. Take care, have fun ...The Gothmother aka Raven Dane Sending you a gift, one of my little dragons
