Elizabeth Fiend is the creator, writer and host of BiG TeA PaRtY [ www.bigteaparty.com ]a home-economics TV show that specializes in cooking, crafts and anarchy. BiG TeA PaRtY videos and mini-documentaries are aired on national satellite TV on the Dish Network, used in the classroom, and are available for purchase on her web site www.bigteaparty.com. These how-to videos encourage people to use their own imagination, skill and energy to advance not only their lives but the community around them and ultimately the planet. Elizabeth's goal is to promote a sustainable living trinity - good health, environmentalism and community activism -- a practical, rewarding lifestyle where ones actions won't have a negative effect on future generations. ~+~+~+~+~
Elizabeth has appeared on NBCs The Today Show and on the Food Network as a guest on weatherman Al Roker's cooking show On the Road With Roker. She has been featured in the Lonely Planet Travel Guide to Philadelphia; National Geographic Travelers Magazine; The New York Times; The Philadelphia Inquirer; and The Chicago Tribune. Elizabeth's SK8-boarding video was part of ESPN's Tube Action Sports Festival in conjunction with the X Games and her video on gun-violence in America was an international finalist in ADBUSTERS Creative Resistance Video Contest. ~+~+~+~+~
While she currently specializes in film making, writing and motivational speaking, Elizabeth is a true Renaissance woman having co-authored a reference book on the thematical analysis of television; recorded 2 albums and 6 singles as the slide guitar player in the psychedelic punk band More Fiends -- which is the only Philadelphia band to record a Peel Session for the BBC Radio in England; her illustrations, future-now erotica, have appeared in Al Goldsteins Screw Magazine and in Robert Crumbs comic anthology Weirdo; Elizabeth is also a wedding officiant and has achieved her dream of marrying a couple while she was wearing a clown suit. ~+~+~+~+~
Elizabeth aspires to be an agent of social change who uses artistic expression combined with extensive research and reliable information to improve the health of individuals, the community and the planet -- and have a really good time doing it. ~+~+~+~+~

PERSONAL APPEARANCES: Elizabeth has been hired by May's Department Stores to do a series of lectures offering nutritional advise and to demonstrate the preparation of her original recipes. She has been the Master of Ceremonies at Scribe Video's Fashion Show for Teens and at Whole Foods Supermarket Meatless Monday event; she was a panelist at the annual dinner and fundraiser for the charity Women in Transition; and did an invitational reading for Banned Book Week at the Free Library of Philadelphia. She has been a judge at the Super Mecca Karaoke Gong Show and a Rat Art Contest. ~+~+~+~+~
Elizabeth is also the Bibliographic Specialist at an internationally acclaimed library.
