Elizabeth Genco's Blurbs |
About me:
FIRST THINGS FIRST: My first graphic novel, BLUE, is coming in July from Desperado Publishing. Order code is MAY083778...

BLUE is a modern take on a classic fairy tale, Bluebeard, which means... serial killer ahoy! Shapeshifter girls, ghosts, indy rock boys, creepy wine cellars, hidden lairs, lots of knives... and, of course, New York City.
Art on BLUE is by the hella awesome Sami Makkonen. You'll find much more on BLUE at our blog: http://bluecomics.blogspot.com
BAND/MUSICIAN REQUESTS:I'm no longer accepting band requests. Sorry, it just got too loco with the automated scripts adding me all over the freakin' place. If you're a real person, and you want to be added, by all means, just drop me a note that tells me you're not a bot. That's all it takes!
I'm a professional writer living in Brooklyn, New York. Affiliations include:

Publications include NEGATIVE BURN, CRYPTIC magazine, Endicott Journal Of Mythic Arts, Llewellyn's Tarot Reader and Magical Almanac.
Forthcoming projects include stories in Comic Book Tattoo: A Tori Amos Anthology (with Carla Speed McNeil) and over at SMITH magazine (with Mike Jasorka). And....
My first graphic novel, BLUE, will be out in July 2008 from Desperado Publishing. Huzzah! BLUE is in the MAY issue of PREVIEWS and the order code is MAY083778. Much, much more about that available here:
http://bluecomics.blogspot.com
BLUE is drawn by Sami Makkonen.
If you just so happen to find yourself typing my name into Amazon, you'll find a goofy yet beautifully drawn Frankenstein adaptation for middle graders that I wrote in 2007. Jason Ho did the art on that one.
I've also worked with Adam Boorman, Jeffrey Zornow, Dash Shaw, Kevin Colden and this hot guy I'm married to.
For the latest on all my projects: http://www.elizabethgenco.com
I've also got a mailing list. It's low traffic and features the occasional fun stuff you can't get any other way. You can sign up by entering your name and primary email addy below (you can unsubscribe instantly at any time)...
(NOTE: Myspace will ask you if you really want to do it. You might have to tell Myspace "no" then come back here and click again.)
Muses include: folklore, fairy tales, mythology, New England, ballads and old skool folk music, New York City, esoterica, boardwalks and amusement parts, cemeteries, ghosts, the hot guy mentioned above.
I have two black cats.
I like to make stuff and make stuff up.
I carry around a lot of notebooks.
Feel free to say hello.
