On a new Journey.
Elizabeth Rhyno has been playing music and singing since she was a young child. The daughter of Music teachers, Elizabeth learned to be proficient on both piano and violin, and worked at developing her voice. But it was only the Lord who could change her charted course toward medical school. In her senior year of high school, where Elizabeth concentrated on Sciences, she was suddenly hit with the desire to really pursue music. Changing direction completely, she followed what she now knows was the Lord's prompting. It was during her Bachelor of Music studies that she met her husband, Scott, who is now a Worship and Youth Pastor of a thriving church in Northern Maine. Together they lead worship and mentor teens and musicians. They recorded an album together in 2001, "Nearer To Thee". Parents of 3 delightful and musical children, Elizabeth and Scott continue to wait on the Lord for His direction. In 2007, Elizabeth was a semi-finalist on the national God-Song Songwriting competition with her song "Fly". In 2009, "Undefiled Worship" received a Top 20 nod in the Unisong Songwriting Competition. It was also chosen to be made into a video representing the changing heart of the Wesleyan Church International. The album "Something Beautiful" was released in June 2009, and is available on iTunes.
