"Tonight’s host, Elizabeth Walling, is equally excellent. Her voice is winter picture postcard purity personified – it seems to frost over, bewitch and envelop her songs which range from, rather aptly, Vespertine style choral glitch to Kate Bush goes Balkan folk within the tidy confines of a short set. It’s effortlessly good and the perfectly prefigures the glacial grace Valgeir serves up. "
FACT MAGAZINE, January 2009
"Elizabeth Walling’s brand new set fused sparse, cold electronic beats with live cello, harmonised flutes and her breathtaking voice to create an impressively full yet restrained sound with nods to Bjork and Beth Gibbons."
THE ARGUS, January 2009
"The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly Elizabeth Walling, who improvised vocals, flute, and autoharp while her bandmate Ed Briggs remixed her performance with the aid of a laptop and tape loops. The result sounded like a collaboration between Enya and Martin Swope. It is only because Walling has such a strong voice that the manipulation process worked, and only because she adds flute and autoharp that what could easily become a one trick pony stays interesting..."
THE LONDONIST, November 2008
"An exceptional musician, composer and experimentalist. Often seen singing for the rather ace A Scandal in Bohemia..."
THE GREAT ESCAPE FESTIVAL GUIDE, May 2008.
Hello ELIZABETH :-) Million thanks for your friendship. Love your work! Find very specially "the water..", "the entire City" and " Abandon" marvelous! Great! Your friend Michel
hi, thanks for your visit. your have an amazing voice, which i am sure you heard before... but your compositions are also very exciting, with striking arrangements of voices and instruments. a very daring and delicate blend which works wonders. keep it up. xxx rv
Oh, Elizabeth! Your two new compositions are very good. Especially I liked The Entire City - it made me breathless. Love and respect from the cell phone cannibals of Sweden.
cheers, i just wanted 2 draw the image with the harlequin motifs. the whole harlequin image is definitely the way forward.
i have a friend who composes japanese noise music, and another friend who composes music inspired by renaissance structures and counterpoint. can imagine both of them, as different as they are, might enjoy ur music. in terms of creativity, i reckon its best to have different styles and influences, rather than sticking to one..
Oh Elizabeth, you have become one of my favorite composers. The first track is magic ! Your new profile image is delicious. I have only good things to say about you. Per
Hey you! Would you please do me the honor of singing live on some of my new songs? I'm sorting out a gig in March in Brighton somewhere. Please say you will! Stu PS: Happy new year
