...“Fans of Maddy Prior and Margot Timmins will immediately warm to her hushed, milky vocals and the simplicity of her arrangements… which evoke comparisons to Leonard Cohen, Neil Young and Gillian Welch. While not a gimmicky artist or one likely to get audiences out of their seats, Eliza Blue is a performer capable of mesmerizing listeners with a set of heartbreaking, grown-up lullabies.” Adrienne Van der Valk, Eugene Weekly....
Since she began her songwriting career three years ago Eliza has crossed the country several times, and averages over a 150 gigs a year. Recently Eliza has shared the stage with: Billy Bragg, Kelly Joe Phelps, The Watson Twins, Fiona McBain of Ollabelle, Devil Makes Three, Charlie Parr, Lonesome Dan Kase, & Tim Fite. She has appeared in-studio on WGBH in Boston, KFAI in Minneapolis, WNPR in Madison, KWVA in Eugene, WMPG in Portland, WCSA in Portsmouth, and has songs in rotation on independent radio stations both nationally and internationally. Hi Eliza. I haven't seen you in months. Hope everything is well with you and yours. I'm bummed Les Paul died. He basically created stereo and multi-tracking, and the electric guitar. Plus he could play. I think you would actually get a kick from his music from the 50's.
Do yourself a favor and watch him and Mary Ford play on youtube:
Les Paul & Mary Ford: Alabamy Bound /Darktown Strutters Ball
Its great music and a fantastic, sexist comercial in the middle of the songs because its straight from Les Paul's tv show from 1953. Just shows how different the world is today than it was for our mothers.

How've you been since the Stone Arch? Finish recording yet? I'm playing a free show at the Fine Line on Monday August 3rd, and my first move towards a fuller sound: accordion, violin, piano, bass, guitars, backup vocals, djembe (the whole sha-bang). I've never been this excited for a show.
Anyhow, I hope you're well. I'll see you around the bend,
