About El Kabong

EL KABONG rocks with hits from the 60s through the 90s. Featuring classics by such artists as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Talking Heads and Kiss.

EL KABONG has gained local acclaim with regular bookings at the Old Towne Pub and other night spots in the City of Roses and San Gabriel Valley. EL KABONG, named after the alter ego of cartoon character Quick Draw McGraw, has a "striking" guitar sound which is always a crowd pleaser.

Since entering "long term hiatus" in 2000, the members of EL KABONG have reunited on a few occassions, and have been involved in a number of other musical ventures. These projects include such bands as The Muddflaps, Groovey Lemon Pie, and Velvet Radio.

Knowing how important our fans are, even our famous fans, we always do our best to make time for a quick picture. As far as the "Little Richard Indicent" goes, Richard and I are just good friends.
Jon Pool - Drummer	Jan 16 2007 6:51 AM I feel I need to clarify an issue regarding the pictures in the blog section. The people pictured with El Kabong members wanted to have their pictures taken with US. They were enamored with the fact that EK was at the events they were attending and, more or less, rushed at the chance to get their pictures taken with us (note:call private security company). I know Roy wont admit this, but the picture of him with Little Richard has a sad story. Without divulging any gory and personal details, Roy had to tell Little Richard that he was married.
