This Wednesday....The AfterDark Halloween Ball @ Respectable Street in West Palm Beach. Our last event "The AfterDark Reunion" on Labor Day with DJ Icey was incredible, and I am bringing back the vibe every month with a great line up of the best Breaks / Electro talent in the world.

It is on Wednesday October 28th, celebrating Halloween and H-Bomb's (one of the creators of the Red Pill) birthday.

I am really stoked because I am bringing in one of the best break beat producers in the U.S....

DJ FIXX of illeleveneleven who also produces with Keith McKenzie as KMFX...this will be his first Palm Beach appearance ever.

alongside will be Johnny Dangerously with Mark Ivan aka Lo IQ, Dj Storm, H-Bomb and many more.

I am looking forward to seeing you there...

Submorphics is Chicago-based producer and lifetime musician Greg Axelrad. Originally a duo consisting of Greg and longtime friend Ryan Lolas, late 2006 saw Greg taking full control over the project as a solo artist.

Drawing on influences such as soul, rare groove, jazz, hip hop, 70s rock, deep house and film soundtracks, Submorphics' eclectic musical DnB output has received widespread global support from artists such as Makoto, High Contrast, LTJ Bukem, Marky, Danny Byrd, Big Bud, Alix Perez, Nookie and many more.

A crowd favorite on the decks as well, Submorphics DJ schedule has increased in 2007-2008, playing coast-to-coast in the states, as well as touring in the UK and Europe. Looking at rounding up some musicians and artist types for a warehouse art show. Three artists have studio space in the same building. Thought it would be a great networking opp for musicians and artists. Invite only. Will be on either Aug 25 or Aug 26. So if you want to come and bring friends, let me know so i can put you on "the list". Try to bring some beer and/or munichies if you come. We can play music if you guys want to do any sets. A great way for the musicians to network with the artists.

Opera Mash-Up tonight will (as always) have live recordings of the whole evening. Tonite we are mashing Opera with Funk then our "Noise Encore" will be kicked off with punk (Brain Damage!!). But any of you who have been to these shows knows that we encourage musicans to come up and play and that The Famous Billy records it all.

We would LOVE LOVE LOVE some scatters (no...not poopers) to come out and scat during our funk jam session. So if you have a diddly-bop-do-whop in you, you should come out.

This Tuesday we are featuring Opera singer Rene Turner. Next Tuesday we have Miriam Leigh and the following Tuesday we have Laura Vacari. Brain Damaged promises to have at least two punk groups a night. And our crazy funk band will get you jump-jive-n-whalin.

As always, no cover. FREE! Under 21 welcome. I LOVE NOISE MUSICIANS!!! So come out an join us during our mash program and do a solo set during "Encore Noise". Even if all you have is a kazoo...dont be shy.

Area 7 in Oakland Park. Located at 3809 North Powerline. Used to be called Duck Soup.

New type of show on Wednesdays at Area 7. It is a live-recording jam session that lasts from 9pm to 12:30am. The session is loosely structured as follows:

9pm to 10pm (Layer 1): Opera Singer comes in with 4-5 songs. These songs are mic-ed off and recorded a few different ways. These original voice recordings serve as the base layer for the jam session. May 20 our singer is Michael Borosky and May 27 our singer is Diana Vander Neut.

10pm to 11pm (Layer 2): Sound Engineer "The Famous Billy" begins adding distorion and noise layers to the opera that was recorded. During this time we will also have featured readings from James A. Roberson.

11pm to 12am (Layer 3) Jazz quartet "Freddy, Dave, Allen and Friends" will come in to improv to the existing tracks. This will be the third and final layer to the jam session.

12am to 12:30am: "Freddy, Dave, Allen and Friends" will close out the evening with a traditional jazz set.
