This new album, Closer Still, reflects an honesty that often goes unseen in congregational worship. Taking after David, this album walks the line between worshipping God through lament, confusion, searching, questions, and heartache(Closer Still, Eyes Wide Open, Have Your Way In Me) but still fixing our eyes on the wonder of God and not ourselves (Sweetly Singing, No One Else). And then the track "We Will Go" reminds us that our personal worship should always propel to love the world around we live in.
It's captures the tension in the relationship we have with God. True Christian spirituality will yield tension along with satisfaction.

Ellary, how are things going. Stopped by to hear "We Will Go". I love that song. I just added a song called "Daughter of Mine". I wrote it for my daughter at a time when her and I were struggling. I can see your playing in Boulder Colorado this weekend. I hope the Holy Spirit is present. I just got back from doing a prison in Brownwood Texas. Most of the inmates there have Meth addictions.
