Many of you have asked if there will be a third book about Kristina/Bree. The answer is-----yes, and it will be called FALLOUT. But it won't be the next book. That's TRICKS, about five teens who fall into prostitution, for five very different reasons. It's currently in production and will release Summer '09.
I also have a short story called "Pretty, Hungry" in a December anthology called DOES THIS BOOK MAKE ME LOOK FAT?

i just wanna say thanks for writing your books...especially impulse because i have never related to a character like have to vanessa...we both have had pasts with our mothers that were difficult and i have also suffered from cutting i was actually addicted to it for four years and reading that book just helped me get over it. thank you so much!! i look forward to your next books.
I love Drops of Jupiter. It was on my myspace for a while. I can't wait for Tricks to come out! It's marked in my appointment book and whenever I see someone with your book I say, "Did you know her next book is coming out Aug 25?!" even if they are a complete stranger... :)
hey Ellen. i just read your last blog post. i just wanted to say that i love your books and they are great literature. you write about real life issues and i finished reading identical.. now im hoping to read tricks real soon. i want to be a writer and i have been holding on to that dream since the 1st grade. so far, ive written many works of poetry and im currently working on some other writing projects that i hope will be out there for others to read. i know one day my dream will come true. hopefully i get to be as good of a writer as you are. :]

I read Identical in only one day, and since that day i love reading and i cant put your books down. Im going to start reading Crank today, And i can't wait to pick it up from the library. before i read your books, i hated reading. i couldnt stand the thought of reading, and for the whole 17 years of my life, i never read a whole book. i would always go to the book store and get a book, read the first page, and never open it again. then one day, i picked up Crank, and read it in 2 days. then the day i finished it, i went and bought Glass. Crank and Glass have deffinitly changed my life. you are such an inspirational writer. I am now almost done with Burned, and i'm about to start Impulse. I could never thank you enough for turning me onto reading. i cant even describe what your books mean to me, but they mean alot. thank you so so so so much! (:
