About me:

I'm an author, poet, and all-round nice person, with too many stories left to tell. But I'll do the best I can.

Some of you have asked me for book recommendations. Some of my favorites can be found under my Top Friends.

IDENTICAL IS AVAILABLE NOW.

Check out this recent podcast I did, about IDENTICAL.

Click here for an audio podcast interview with Ellen Hopkins!

Many of you have asked if there will be a third book about Kristina/Bree. The answer is-----yes, and it will be called FALLOUT. But it won't be the next book. That's TRICKS, about five teens who fall into prostitution, for five very different reasons. It's currently in production and will release Summer '09.

I also have a short story called "Pretty, Hungry" in a December anthology called DOES THIS BOOK MAKE ME LOOK FAT?

My son borowed crank from his high school library. He red it in 3 or 4 days. He told me that it was soooo good, so I read it and I couldn't believe how amazing a writer you are. I mentioned the book at work and now I have ALL my friends reading your books. We are all buying them as we can't get enough of your gift.
Keep writing you are by far one of my favorite author.
Oh and just to tell you that none of my friends at work are teenagers. we are an older croud and love your books as much as the young croud does.
thank you again.

You autographed my book today in NC thank you sooooo much. It was kinda weird because I felt like I was the only 28 year old that had to drag her six and seven year old out to get her book autographed.
I LOVE ALL OF YOUR BOOKS!

your the best writer ever! I just reread every book and i can't pick which one is my Fav. I love all them!!

Are you going to write a book about being adopted?

I think that would be really amazing! cuz on your website it says that your adopted and just sharing that with others they just maybe understand. n_n I'm adopted as well, I'm from Peru and came to the USA where i will live with the family that have adopted me. =)

have a nice weekend! <3
