I grew up on a small island in the Seattle area. I enjoy long walks on the beach
and swimming. Sometimes I get mad at other people who park badly outside my
house on Dexter because parking is hard to find. All that said, I love my music
and my band and hope you do too. I'm going to retire in the Caymen Islands and
run my own scuba diving charter when I turn 30. If anyone wants me to sing a song
to them before they go to bed let me know, that's my favorite thing to do.
Jeff "hatch" Hatchel

Thermodynamics. Is there anything else to say? Jon and I grew up together on
that little island and had many bands together before this one. I just got back
from a sabbatical in the trenches of California. Glad to be back in the gray
weather of Seattle. I'm a mechanical engineer and I know how to calculate how
much a thick plate of steal will stretch in millionths of an inch.
Settle down ladies!

Electrified Guitar
I love guitar and teach it to young, striving musicians. I'm also into
big hair metal band from the 80's. I bring the rock to Ellen Says No. I used to be the only one that really liked to rock, but now we have Mitch and the tides are turning...(heh, heh)
Tyson Heriot
Drums
Tyson joined Ellen Says No in 2008 and quickly gained the nickname "White Meat". We kicked around the idea of calling him "boneless" but decided it was just too mean. He turned 21 just after joining the band and we look forward to corrupting him in every way possible.
Influences
Metallica, Pearl Jam, Led Zepplin, Hot Rod Circuit, Nirvana, Counting Crows, Sunny Day Real Estate, Def Leppard, Dave Matthews, Guster, The Smashing Pumpkins, Seaweed, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fugazi... The list could go on and on, but you get the point. We all have very different influences. We just try our best to take a little piece of everything and morph it into something completely different.
Sounds Like
Hopefully we sound completely original. That's what we strive for. When we ask people to tell us who we sound like, we get a wide variety of responses depending on what song they heard. We have heard everything from The Fray to Nickelback. You tell me what we sound like after listening to a couple songs. I'd like to think that you will start to tell other people they sound like US.

Taking their shared love of music, performing, and raw determination Ellen Says No have become a staple in the Seattle music scene, playing sold out shows, enjoying wide radio play and touring all over the country.
In 2006, after the release of their third album Hatchback, percussionist and longtime friend Brandon Gebhardt left the band and was replaced by up and coming, incredibly tight drummer Mitch Robins.
Their fourth release is an EP titled Angels & Devils. It was recorded at world famous London Bridge Studios and produced by acclaimed producer Geoff Ott. With a new drummer came a new energy into the band and their quirky arrangements and wandering melodies have blended into a solid, cohesive sound that is equally emotive and electrifying.
