Ellie Come Home is nothing less than a five-person orchestra. Combining classical instrumentation with pop appeal, this band has more power than a collision of celestial bodies. Piano, violin, cello and rich vocal harmonies give this moody rock band their signature sound.
Formed in 2005 in the Midwestern college town of Columbia, Missouri, Ellie Come Home is like a classical danish with a creamy indie-rock filling. They're like Beethoven if he drank PBR and watched reruns of "Dawson's Creek."
Last year, the band released their self-titled debut EP. Now, they're following up with their first full-length, PRIMARY SOURCES, which was recorded at home by the band and is now available from Emergency Umbrella Records.
