George Ellinas
Keyboard Player / Remixer / Producer
George was born and raised in Larnaka, Cyprus.
He started piano and theory of music lessons at the age of 9. He has been experimenting with music / electronica since his early childhood, making beats and pieces with synthesizers and samplers.When he was 13 he started performing live as a keyboard player and 3 years later he bought his first turntables and a mixer and started mixing records.He studied Music Production at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts (1995 – 1999) and whilst there he worked at the record store “Boston Beat” and as a DJ at night clubs and after-hours parties in the underground dance / music scene. George was fortunate enough to meet people like DJ Felix (Resident DJ of Roxy Club) and DJ Manolo (Resident DJ of Avalon Club) whom inspired and influenced him.In 1996 two tracks of his were released as part of a 12-inch project called “Dis and Dat” by DJ Savva. In 1999 Paul Oakenfold showed interest in George’s music and used his track “Blu Anthem” in live sets. During the same year, George wrote the music for a television commercial (“Players”) that was aired throughout the US. Boston radio stations also aired some of his dance tracks.Coming back to Cyprus in 2000, George started working in local clubs as a professional musician and as a freelancer producer, recording and arranging music for other artists. His work as a producer included TV and radio commercial spots.One of his most recent and most challenging projects is ''One+ Another1" a collaboration with Paul C check out his myspace(http://www.myspace.com/paulcsounds) playing live electronica with jazzy, funky, housie sounds.
