About me: Elliot Castro started DJing in his brother's bedroom in 2003 on belt driven turntables straight from the 1970's. By the time he had moved to Belfast in early 2004, he had developed something of a knack for the wheels of steel, and was occasionally asked to play at top Belfast venues such as Thompsons and Milk.
Returning to Glasgow in 2006, he attended an open decks night, and was approached to become a resident at the Soundhaus's underground house and techno night The Basement, which is a residency he still holds today.
In March 2007, he started the night Diversion with mates Hamish and Chris at Glasgow's Classic Grand. The night's full on party atmosphere and attitude free went on to be a great success, playing host to some top international DJ's including Tim Deluxe, Dirty South and Mark Knight. As a result of the success of the night, he was asked to do the X-Mix on XFM Scotland in December 2007 . He was also named one of Scotlands top three up and coming DJs by the Daily Record's clubs pages in March 2008.
In summer 2008, he was asked to play for Liverpool's Garlands at world famous club Eden in Ibiza, as well as a number of other cool parties on the island. He will be returning there in 2009.
His unique style of music encompasses a wide variety of electronic music. His collection includes a top choice of new and classic tunes, some you'll know and some you might not. House and Electro feature mainly, with a mixture of captivating melodies and uplifting vocals, which, coupled with his passion and energy behind the decks add an atmosphere all of their own to the dance floor.

Our 2 special guests this month are SUNDAY CIRCUS and SHAUN fae Solar (SUBCITY). There are many esses in the names – maybe it’ll be a Special night. The Circus lads have been tearing up their pad at the Courtyard for just over a year now but have garnered more acclaim than most club promoters can or ever do. Hype? Perhaps but as far as Glasgow underground dance goes their one of the few lights in recent years to really break through the glass ceiling.
Sunday Circus’s Affi Koman played the first One More Tune night way back when we were just finding our feet, ain’t it sweet when things come full circle? Expect a deep hypnoticism in their grooves and subtle shifts building over the set. They're dead good, and just a wee bit clever.
Shaun Murphy aka Shaun from Solar Island show will be making his One More tune debut next month. The Subcity Radio hero knows his shit and we’re sure he’ll he’ll destroy Blackfriars come the tenth. Baltimore/Bassline with a touch of the ghetto and the electro about it means full swing party mode for the night.
Define Define host the night playing sounds from Pop to Disco to Techno to classic rock to 90s Dance to party Funk.
hope you're keeping well, look out for November Elliot Birthday art being designed as we speak...here's this month.
Hushpuppy: Has been playing Thursdays in the art school‘s vic bar for ages. It’s an absolute institution, Check out the facebook groups dedicated to “Thursday at the arty” and you’ll know what I mean. Fair chance it was Hushpuppy if not one of his cohorts who dropped that record that sent you into ecstasy when you’re trying to cut shapes amongst the swathes of bodies on the chequered floor.
The cool kids rule at these hedonistic nights but don’t let that put you off. Banging Electro/Disco/House/80s/Torch Songs all wrapped up in an 8 bit Indie kid’s mp3 player. That’s what you might hear. Oh and you know that wee night Death Disco? He’s played some M U S I C there for a good wee while. All in all he’s no bad. Well, he fucking well knows how to rock a parrrty fo’ sure. Heavyweight support from Electro maestro Saavedra and One More Tune’s residents Define Define, your hosts for the evening
PS Define Define will be playing a house set in the filthiest, least commercialised sense of the word. Get your disco on!
