Ellis The
Vacuumchild, formed in 2001, was started by a bunch of friends from Haninge outside
of Stockholm. Early on the band found their own formula for making music, and have,
since then, created dynamic and explosive instrumental indierock. After two
self-released demos the band was signed to the Chalksounds label and later to the
Swedish booking agency Luger. In January 2005 ETVC released
their debut album "Peace by extermination" , a release that
resulted in a lot of critical acclaim and a tour supporting the Swedish band
Fireside. When Chalksounds went bankrupt the band was asked to release a 7" on
Jezebel Recording, a record which came out in the beginning of December 2005. At the
moment the band is involved in making new material and playing some gigs in their
home town of Stockholm. ETVC have been compared to bands like Mogwai, Mono and Sonic
Youth but none of these comparisons succeed to define the sound of Ellis the
Vacuumchild. They are a unique band that you've got to hear!

Indeed, Ellis the Vacuumchild plan out an album which flows so much like a normal album that they should have a wide appeal outside the genre itself. Although the bands label, Chalksounds, has recently called it quits, the band has plans to release a 7" through Jezebel Recordings in the near future, and hopefully much more beyond that.
