    French songwriters Justine Daaé (classical vocalist) and Ghislain Henry (bass player) meet in early 2009 in Paris, France. They start working together on the writing of 6 tracks EP, released at the end of the summer. Joined by a drummer and a guitarist, they create a metal band with a modern sound based on a mix of electronic, techno, dance, indus, trance and classical, to bring a defiantly fresh take on gothic-symphonic metal. EP gets instant acclaim from reviewers and music fans around the world. After receiving radio airplay and a big amount of media attention, the band, while still very young, is invited to play and share prestigious stages in Paris such as « La Boule Noire » or « La Scène Bastille ». Elyose shows strongly draw attention and develop a solid core of loyal and passionate fans. 2010 will be devoted to the writing of new material and refining the line-up. By December, drummer Patrick Cazu joins the band and Elyose works hard over 6 month from January 2011 to finalize and play its debut album tracks. In May, Elyose performs again at « La Scène Bastille » and tours in Belgium. In the month of July, during 5 weeks, the band records, mixes and self-produces its debut album « Théogyne » at Piste Rouge Studio in Brussels. Finally, « Théogyne » gets off the beaten track offering metal music difficult to classify, which combines classical arrangements and electronic sounds where enchanting, mischievous atmospheres and heavy incisive guitar riffs follow on from each other . The powerful and soothing feeling which results from the listening of « Théogyne » would not be complete without the presence of Justine's voice, sometimes operatic, sometimes high pitched, sometimes distilled in a shivering breath. Very well trained and qualified musicians become beneficial to the band in order to defend « Théogyne » on stage with dignity and prepare for a promising career. The trio recruits two new guitarits, Julien Portrat (ex leader songwriter of Death/Gothic metal band Penumbra – 3 produced and signed albums) for rythym guitars and Antoine Bouchet for lead guitars. With its initial successful years, Elyose bright future remains to be written while the album is expected to be signed up with a label. The band currently works on writing the next album and keeps rehearsing for gigs that will follow their debut album release. --------------------------------- Début 2009, le bassiste Ghislain Henry et la chanteuse classique Justine Daaé (alors vocaliste du groupe français de Funeral/Ambient, GREY NOVEMBER) se rencontrent et décident de monter un groupe de métal incorporant subtilement diverses influences a priori pourtant peu compatibles (classique, électronique -dance, indus, techno, trance…), le tout dans une recherche permanente de modernité. Les deux compositeurs commencent alors à travailler ensemble à la création du répertoire du groupe. Rejoints peu après par batteur et guitariste, ils enregistrent, à la fin de l'été 2009, leur première démo 6 titres. Cet EP reçoit alors un accueil très favorable des chroniqueurs de la sphère métal et obtient de nombreux passages en radio. Bien qu'alors très « jeune », Elyose est également déjà vite sollicité pour ouvrir plusieurs événements métal à Paris et se produit notamment à la Boule Noire et à la Scène Bastille, recueillant d'emblée un succès d'estime et se créant rapidement un solide noyau de fans fidèles et passionnés. Egalement marquée par quelques prestations scéniques, l'année 2010 sera consacrée à la création des nouveaux titres et à l'affinage du line-up. En décembre, le batteur Patrick Cazu rejoint le groupe et Elyose travaille alors d'arrache-pied, dès janvier 2011, pour finaliser et mettre en place les titres de son premier album. En mai, Elyose se produit de nouveau à la Scène Bastille et tourne en Belgique. Entre juin et juillet, pendant cinq semaines, le groupe enregistre, mixe et autoproduit son premier album, «Théogyne», à Bruxelles, au flambant neuf Studio Piste Rouge. Au final, Théogyne propose un métal difficilement classable où cohabitent les ambiances envoutantes, mutines et légères, ou franchement heavy ; le tout avec une approche parfois sophistiquée, voire progressive et une bonne dose de refus des sentiers battus et rebattus dans la structure des morceaux. Afin de disposer d'un line-up à la hauteur de la qualité de son album, de défendre dignement Théogyne sur scène et de préparer un avenir désormais à écrire en majuscules, le trio recrutera à la rentrée 2011 deux nouveaux guitaristes, Julien Portrat (ancien leader et compositeur du groupe de death metal gothique PENUMBRA -3 albums produits et signés) à la guitare rythmique et Antoine Bouchet en lead guitar. L'AVENIR (en majuscules !) reste à écrire alors que l'album -et les fans- sont dans l'attente d'un label de distribution. Pour l'heure, le groupe continue d'avancer, il élabore déjà les premiers titres de son second opus et prépare les scènes qui suivront la sortie de Théogyne.
