For all of us, we have our personal reference points. We talk about our lives based on the important shit that happens to us. This is the chronology of self-importance. These are what you might call your “me” bullet-points.
This is the way you like to talk about yourself in conversation.
You’ll say, “I got the Corvette a week after my first big promotion.”
Or, “My modeling career really took off starting 6 months after the Rhinoplasty.”
The promotion and the nose-job – those are the reference points. The weeks and the months – those are the chronologies. These are how you describe the most important sofa-sections of your life. These are the inventoried line-items that make your personal history worthwhile.
Truth is, the most important line-items of your life, you’ll never talk about to those anyone.
You’ll never mention when you shit your pants in high school gym class. In conversation, you won’t bring up the first time your uncle exposed his erect penis to you. The moment you found out your dismissive, neglectful husband was a closet homosexual, that’s not a reference point you'll ever talk about.
You’ll never say, “We put up the aluminum roofing six months after our 4 your-old drowned in the swimming pool.”
Or, “I graduated college 9 years after the assault and rape.”
Because we’re normal, we try to keep the most relevant reference points to ourselves.

Movies
12 Angry Men, Dead Zone with Walken, I hate movies
Television
Television is basically, you know, real people pretending to be fake people with made-up problems being watched by real people to forget their real problems.
I don't watch television.
Except for Twilight Zone.
And...uhhh, Cheaters.
Books
Of course I Am Legend is probably my favorite book of all time, but I really like the Matheson short story Return, some of the best 30 pages of text you'll ever read - it was *moving* - Elmer McCurdy: The Misadventures in Life and Afterlife of an American Outlaw, anything at all by Thomas Sowell, Lucky Wander Boy, Welcome Back Frank, Watchmen, Killing Joke, Arkham Asylum, Just read Streets of Laredo, it was phenomenal! Self-Reliance (An essay really), Finally read Day by Day Armageddon after a kagillion people told me how good it was, and ... it was okay.
July 9, 2008. I'm a busy mofo and haven't posted my stuff in a while. Read this article I wrote about VNC and remote access attacks against POS systems (Point of Sale VNC Attacks - Nexussec Security Portal).
Also, last month this Data Breach Report was published, and it's all kinds of good... Just check out the buzz about it in the blogosphere.
And also... On June 14, 2008, during the release party for their fourth album "Wasteland Discotheque," I FUCKING GOT TO INTERVIEW RAUNCHY! The interview is muy bueno. You can read it here.

This is the infamous 2006 dance video where I bit Matt Harding's idea and danced around the world. Except a gum company didn't pay me to do it. Special thanks to Keith Swiat for the music.
I love Austin. I can barely stand the summer heat, but I love the town. It reminds me a bit of what Ithaca would like to be, maybe...We're talking about buying property in the next year or 2, swo I guess we're staying for a while...
