  • Bio

Please don't contact us via myspace. Please email us at: elpatapsco@gmail.com. El Patapsco is from Baltimore and have been around since 2002. We have three releases so far - LRDG (2005), Me Dejo (2008), and Deuce and a Half (2009). Marc and Jerome were previously in a instro-rock band called Defender (2001). We play sporadically in the Baltimore area, as well as occasional jaunts to New York for one of Unsteady Freddie's shows. We have a lot of free mp3's on this site and our own - http://www.elpatapsco.com. Feel free to download and share. We're also on a couple of Continental Magazine compilations from Double Crown Records. If you're a DJ at a radio station, feel free to write us for a copy of our latest release. (Please provide a playlist from prior shows.)
  • Members

Jerome - Guitar, Marc - Guitar, Mark - Drums, Ted - Bass. Guest Vocal on Revenant: Bridget.
  • Influences

With more than one music geek in the band there are loads of influences. Loads! Link Wray, Ventures, Man or Astroman, Shadowy Men from a Shadowy Planet, Atomic 7, Langhorns, Atlantics, Chantays, Duane Eddy, Dick Dale, Rev. Horton Heat, The Cramps, Brazzaville, Laika & the Cosmonauts, Los Straitjackets, Space Cossacks, Sadies, Calexico, Ennio Morricone, Agent Orange, Chantays, Phantom Surfers, Blue Stingrays, Dead Kennedys, Astronauts, Shadows, Sonics, Henry Mancini, Jan Davis, Sun Records, Dischord Records, and many, many more.
  • Sounds Like

We're not a "traditional" surf band. We probably range somewhere between Shadowy Men, Man or Astroman, and Pell Mell. But not really.
